00:00Hello there, good morning. Welcome to your latest forecast from the Met Office. A wet
00:05start to the day across Scotland, some heavy bursts of rain as we go through Monday, all
00:10thanks to an area of low pressure sapped to the north-west of the UK, driving in weather
00:14systems from the Atlantic, bringing in some humid air for the time of year as well and
00:18then slowly turning fresher through tomorrow. Heavy rain across Scotland this morning, some
00:23tricky travelling conditions through the day as this rain pushes north and eastwards. Rain
00:28also affecting parts of Northern Ireland into Northern England, perhaps North Wales
00:33too, turning increasingly heavy here later on today. But much of England and Wales generally
00:38drier and brighter. There will be some sunny spells as we go through the day today. And
00:43the winds coming in from the south ahead of this weather system, drawing in some warm
00:47air, highs around 26, possibly 27 Celsius across some far eastern parts of England.
00:53A little fresher across Northern Ireland, the far north-west of Scotland behind this
00:57weather system, 17 to 22 degrees. As we head through into the evening time, still some
01:03heavy pulses of rain along this weather front affecting southern parts of Scotland, Northern
01:08England, Wales, the West Country and then pushing slowly into parts of the Midlands,
01:12central southern England as we head into the early hours. Generally staying dry across
01:17south-east England through the night here and with the muggy air, temperatures here
01:2216, 17 Celsius as a minimum. And then fresher air starting to move into Northern Ireland,
01:27western Scotland 12 or 13 degrees. But a bright start here with sunny spells, showers slowly
01:33pushing in from the Atlantic as we go through the day. This weather system slowly pushing
01:37south-eastwards across England and still affecting parts of Shetland at times too. It just may
01:42become slow moving across south-east England, some heavy bursts possible for east Anglia
01:47down into Kent for later on in the afternoon. But many places behind this becoming dry and
01:52brighter, just one or two showers. But fresher air moving in from the west, temperatures
01:57down 18 to 22 Celsius for many. But still muggy across the south-east here, highs around
02:0324 or 25 Celsius possible. Into the middle and towards the end of the week, well it continues
02:10to remain rather mixed. There will be further rain at times, particularly across the north
02:14and the west of the UK. Best of the dry weather will be towards south-east England and temperatures
02:19generally around average for the time of year. If you'd like more information on the weather
