00:00Hello, there. Welcome to your latest broadcast from the Met Office. It's been a mixed picture

00:05across the U.K. and it will turn more unsettled over the coming days as well. Low pressure,

00:12well, continues to dominate the weather pattern right through the week ahead. Further low

00:17pressure systems moving in, bringing some wet and windy weather at times and some of

00:21that is already spreading up from the south. And Met Office yellow warning for heavy rain

00:24across central southern parts of the U.K. pushing into Wales during the early hours

00:29and then further rain also moving in off the North Sea into northeast England. Behind

00:35this, some clear spells and showers following in the south. Northern Ireland clouding over

00:39with outbreaks of rain. And Scotland, after a sunny day, will generally see some low clouds

00:44starting to push in from the North Sea, though western areas remaining clear. Here, perhaps

00:49a touch of frost is possible under the clearest skies, but for the vast majority, with a lot

00:54of cloud around and the outbreaks of rain, it means a frost-free start to Monday. However,

01:00plenty of rain across this central swathe of the U.K. Northern England, North Wales

01:04into Northern Ireland. Some of this rain could be heavy at times. Further south, central

01:07southern parts of England and Wales, brighter skies, but as we move through the day, a scattering

01:12of showers developing. Some of these will be heavy, some thunder, hail in there too.

01:16We could see some local disruption. Again, Scotland seeing some of the best of the weather,

01:22best of the sunshine across western areas, western Highlands here. We could see plenty

01:26of sunny spells unbroken in places. Some low cloud, though, still affecting the east and

01:31later on this weather system moving into southern parts. Overall, temperatures in the best of

01:37the sunshine reaching 14 or 15 Celsius to the south and north of this weather front

01:42stuck under it, though, and it will feel quite cold, 7 or 8 degrees at the very best, with

01:47quite a keen northeasterly breeze coming off the North Sea there. Into the evening time

01:51this band of rain tries to push its way northwards, could bump into some colder air across the

01:57Scottish mountains, give some snow here for a short period of time. Elsewhere, clear spells

02:02and scattered showers, generally dry for many parts of Wales and central England. And in

02:08terms of temperatures, well, holding up still. Variable amounts of cloud, a little chillier

02:13perhaps than recent nights. Taking a look at Tuesday, it's going to be a mixed picture

02:19for the day ahead. We will see plenty of sunny spells across England and Wales, though, generally

02:24as the day goes on, the cloud builds up. We will see a scattering of showers. A different

02:29day for Scotland, cloudy here with outbreaks of rain. Quite low cloud, mist and murk and

02:34drizzle across northeastern areas, making it feel quite cold here. And then later on

02:39in the day, this weather system moving into parts of Devon and Cornwall. Outbreaks of

02:43heavy rain, brisk winds moving in. And temperatures, well, in the sunshine again around the mid-teens

02:48but quite chilly under the cloud, particularly across the far north of the UK, 6 or 7 Celsius

02:53across many northern parts of Scotland. Into the evening time on Tuesday, showers start

02:59to fade away. This weather system pushes up and gives more unsettled weather through the

03:04night and into Wednesday. If you'd like more information on the weather where you are for
