00:00Hello there. Saturday was quite a cold, cloudy day with outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow
00:05in places. Sunday, much drier and brighter, plenty of sunny spells. Though the next day
00:11with low pressure will start to move in for Monday. But later on in the week, high pressure
00:16starts to build over Scandinavia and this will help keep weather fronts away, though
00:19we could see a little rain at times, the winds may pick up. But overall, a drier outlook
00:24is forecast. For Sunday afternoon, plenty of sunny spells
00:28across the country, much drier, brighter weather. We could see some showers affecting
00:33western areas, something a little bit more organised, perhaps towards the southwest.
00:37This weather front overall looks like it should stay away from most areas. We may just see
00:42some thicker cloud and patchy light rain across some eastern coasts at times. But for many
00:47light winds, it will feel a little warmer compared to Saturday. With a bit more brightness
00:52around temperatures overall, we're looking at highs of 8 to 11 Celsius.
00:58As we go through the evening time, we'll slowly start to see the cloud fade away. We'll see
01:02skies becoming clear. This will allow temperatures to fall away quite quickly, a chilly evening
01:07and then overnight, temperatures dropping close to if not below freezing. And this again
01:12with light winds will allow some mist and fog patches to form and some freezing fog
01:17patches in the countryside as temperatures fall down to minus 2 to minus 4 once more.
01:21However, a different story across the far southwest, cloud and rain starts to move in
01:26here. The winds pick up. So across the tip of Cornwall, we'll see some cloud and rain
01:30first thing. This band slowly pushes its way north and eastwards through the morning, moving
01:35into parts of the southwest, Wales and eventually Northern Ireland. The rest of the UK after
01:40that cold frosty foggy start should largely stay dry for much of the day. The sunshine
01:45turning hazy across eastern parts of England. Best of the blue skies across parts of Scotland
01:51though. Notice Orkney and Shetland, that weather front still nearby, giving some outbreaks
01:55of rain. The winds coming in from the southwest turning quite blustery around some western
02:00coasts. But that will lift temperatures a little higher on Monday, 11, 12 Celsius, still
02:05a little chilly, but plenty of sunshine in the north, keeping it feeling quite nice.
02:11This band of rain pushes north and eastwards into Monday evening. It does start to fragment
02:17a little as it does so as the area of high pressure over Scandinavia starts to build
02:22and overnight it weakens and stalls across some eastern areas into Tuesday. Thereafter,
02:28it starts to become drier as high pressure keeps those weather fronts at bay. For more
