00:00Good evening, welcome to your latest Met Office forecast. Gradually turns more unsettled across
00:06the north-west of the UK over the next 24 hours or so. High pressure holding on across
00:11southern parts but to the north-west we see a deep area of low pressure bringing outbreaks
00:16of heavy rain and strong winds for a time as well. Met Office warning out across western
00:21Scotland through Monday, some local disruption from that heavy rain is possible.
00:27Saturday evening and overnight into Sunday, it's largely dry picture. Some showers around
00:33and then later on during the early hours, thicker cloud moves in across parts of Northern
00:37Ireland, western Scotland. But the rain here generally light and patchy. Elsewhere, a dry
00:42night to come, variable amounts of cloud. Temperatures overnight dipping to low double
00:48figures so a little more comfortable for sleeping compared to recent nights, 12 to 14 Celsius.
00:54But it does mean quite a cloudy start to the day on Sunday across western areas. Outbreaks
00:58of rain across Northern Ireland, slowly pushing north-eastward through the morning into the
01:02afternoon across parts of Northern England and Scotland. Though some brightness holding
01:06on across the Northern Isles and the far north-east of Scotland until later on in the day. Much
01:12of England and Wales generally dry, some bright or sunny spells developing at times but generally
01:16a lot of cloud around. And then later on, winds start picking up across western Scotland
01:21and Northern Ireland. Some outbreaks of heavy rain developing here too. Temperatures a little
01:26disappointing, particularly under the cloud and the rain, 15 to 18 Celsius across parts
01:31of Northern Ireland, western Scotland. In any brightness, gradually they'll rise into
01:36the low 20s, 23 or 24 across south-east England as a top temperature. Through the evening
01:42time and overnight into Monday morning, we'll see outbreaks of heavy rain pushing north-eastwards
01:47across the northern half of the UK, particularly across Northern Ireland, western Scotland
01:51into the early hours. The rain will be heavy, met obvious warning coming into force across
01:56western Scotland here. Across England and Wales, generally dry, some patchy light rain
02:01and drizzle for parts of Wales and the west country. With southerly winds though, we'll
02:06be drawing in some warm and humid air. So, overnight temperatures 14 to 16 Celsius. So,
02:11a humid start to Monday. Outbreaks of rain across the north-west will continue here through
02:16the day. We could see some local flooding across parts of Scotland, particularly in
02:20the west, some local disruption possible here. So, it is worth staying tuned to the forecast
02:25over the next few days. Further south and east, with high pressure generally in charge,
02:30we generally stay dry. Some bright or sunny spells developing at times, but with that
02:34southerly breeze, temperatures rising, feeling quite muggy for the afternoon, highs around
02:3826 to 28 across the south-east. Even under the cloud and rain, further north and west,
02:44temperatures reaching the low 20s. So, there's a lot going on with the weather, particularly
02:49across the north-west of Scotland as we go through the next few days. So, it is worth
02:54staying up to date with the forecast. You can do that on our YouTube channel and our
02:59social media channels. See you again soon.
