00:00Hello, there. Settled start to the new working week, an interesting mid-part of the week
00:06with an increasing risk of some thunderstorms. So, the pressure pattern at the moment is
00:12high pressure just about holding on over the next few days. A weak weather front associated
00:17with this low pressure over Iceland will push its way south-eastwards through the course
00:22of the day, but weakening as it does so. And you can see high pressure generally dominates,
00:26but then towards the middle of the week, hot and humid air moves up from the south giving
00:31an increasing risk of some thunderstorms. For this morning, plenty of sunshine across
00:37England and Wales. Cloudy skies for parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland, but largely
00:41dry. And as we head through the day, we'll see plenty of sunshine for the vast majority
00:46of the U.K. It will be dry. You can see this weak weather front giving some outbreaks of
00:50rain for the Western Isles, coastal stretches of Scotland and perhaps parts of Northern
00:55Ireland later on. But it does turn increasingly cloudy here. Plenty of sunshine. Blue skies
01:00for much of the U.K. will help lift temperatures mid to high 20s, perhaps even around 30 degrees
01:06towards the London area. A little bit cooler around the coast if you do want to escape
01:11the higher temperatures. UV, though, is strong wherever you are. For much of the U.K., we're
01:16looking at high levels, very high across some southern parts of England. So, it is worth
01:22staying protected if you're out heading to the beach or outside for a prolonged period
01:27of time. Through this evening time, this weather front does push its way southeastwards, but
01:32weakens as it does so. Becomes an area of clouds, some light and patchy rain and drizzle
01:36over the highest ground as it pushes southwards. Either side of this, largely dry, plenty of
01:41clear spells, but temperatures holding up, starting to feel more muggy across southern
01:46parts of England and Wales, generally holding up in double figures across the board. So,
01:51sunny start for most on Tuesday morning. One or two showers, perhaps, affecting northwest
01:56Scotland and Northern Ireland. Some thicker cloud moving in here during the day, as well,
02:00stretching into southern Scotland. The cloud across northern England should break up and
02:05then plenty of sunny spells across England and Wales, parts of Scotland as well. Still
02:09a little breezy around the coasts here. And the sunshine strong once more, lifting the
02:14temperatures to around 30, 31 Celsius. A little more comfortable further north, around
02:2021 to 23 Celsius across parts of Scotland into northern parts of England as well. But
02:26plenty of sunshine. It will feel pleasant and a nice end to the day for many of us as
02:31well. Now, as we move through the middle part of the week, we see an increasing risk of
02:36thunderstorms developing, particularly across parts of England and Wales. There could be
02:41some local disruption from this, so it is worth staying up to date with the forecast.
02:46And then towards the end of the week, temperatures start to return a little nearer to average.
