00:00Good evening. There's been plenty of dry sunny weather across the UK today and it will continue
00:06the next couple of days as well for the vast majority of us. And high pressure currently
00:11sat to the southeast of the UK, low pressure towards the northwest. And this weather front
00:16does edge its way south and eastwards, but as a weakening feature. Otherwise, high pressure
00:22tends to hold on the next couple of days. But towards the middle of the week, lower
00:26pressure, high humidity air moving across southern parts of England and Wales could
00:33lead to some hefty downpours, developing some thunderstorms as well, particularly Wednesday
00:38and into Thursday. So it is worth staying up to date with the forecast over the coming
00:43few days. Fine end to Sunday, plenty of sunshine ahead of dusk. Then overnight for much of
00:49England and Wales, it stays dry, lengthy clear skies, perhaps some mist and fog patches forming
00:54towards the end of the night across parts of Northern Ireland into Scotland. Thicker
00:59cloud at times could give one or two light showers. And by the end of the night, this
01:03weather front does start to approach the Western Isles, perhaps some rain arriving here as
01:08the sun rises. Temperatures generally holding up despite clear skies, we could see temperatures
01:14towns and cities 12 to 15 Celsius dipping into single figures, parts of Wales, the West
01:18Country. So a bit of a fresh start here to start Monday morning, but plenty of sunshine
01:24and it stays that way for much of England and Wales through the day. Cloudy skies generally
01:30for Northern Ireland, southern parts of Scotland, perhaps Northern England too. Thick enough
01:34for just one or two light showers. And then this weather front does start to approach
01:38from the Atlantic to give some splashes of rain for the western coast of Scotland, perhaps
01:43moving into Northern Ireland later on in the afternoon. But for most of us, it will be
01:47dry and sunny and temperatures rising a little higher than Sunday, reaching around 29, possibly
01:5330 Celsius towards the southeast. Temperatures a little lower further north under the clouds,
01:59generally between 18 and 23 degrees for the afternoon. So in the sunshine, feeling fairly
02:05pleasant. UV levels generally high to very high. So strong summer sunshine just a little
02:11lower where we do have more cloud across the northwest of the UK. Through the evening time,
02:17we'll see this weather front just push slowly south and eastwards as we head into the early
02:21hours. It becomes more of a cloudy feature with just some light rain and drizzle over
02:25the hills. Further south, it remains dry overnight, so much of England and Wales again seeing
02:31prolonged clear spells. And behind the weather front, a legacy of cloud in places, one or
02:36two showers across the far northwest of Scotland, perhaps Northern Ireland too. But most places
02:41dry and temperatures again remaining in double figures, starting to feel more humid across
02:46southern parts of England and Wales. So we've got this weather front first thing on Tuesday
02:52across parts of Northern England, Northern Ireland. It just sinks its way southwards
02:56a little. An area of cloud also moves into parts of Northern Ireland, stretching into
03:00southern parts of Scotland as we head through the day on Tuesday. Perhaps thick enough for
03:04one or two spots of rain. Otherwise, most places fine and dry, plenty of sunshine. And
03:11the sunshine strong once again across England and Wales, helping to lift temperatures to
03:15around 30, 31 Celsius towards the southeast. Temperatures a little more comfortable across
03:20parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland, generally reaching the low 20s. And as we head towards
03:26the middle of the week, we'll see an increasing risk of some thunderstorms moving up from
03:32the south. The humidity increases, hefty downpours. At the moment, England and Wales perhaps seeing
03:38the heaviest of showers developing. It's worth staying up to date with the forecast as the
03:43time gets nearer as the details are likely to be firmed up. And then by the end of the
03:48week, low pressure looks like it may start to move in from the northwest, gradually turning
03:52things fresher. So if you'd like more information on the weather, where you are for the next
03:57few days, the week ahead, you can find out more on our social media channels. See you
04:02again soon.
