00:00Hello, good morning. Prepare for some rain today, hope for some sunshine. There will
00:05be some brighter spells out there but there will also be a lot of showers to watch out
00:10for. First thing, the best of the sunshine will be through the central belt, parts of
00:14central and eastern England as well faring well but either way we've got a lot of cloud
00:19developing through the morning and spells of showers or longer outbreaks of rain at
00:24times all circulating around an area of low pressure centred across northern parts of
00:29the country. The showers where they do occur can be lively with thunderstorms and hail
00:33particularly across say northern England, northern Ireland, southern Scotland and there
00:38will be some gusty winds particularly towards the south west of England, the far north of
00:42Scotland. Here some more prolonged outbreaks of rain at times. But having said all that
00:48there will also be some well broken cloud and some sunshine coming through where we'll
00:53get some shelter from the wind and some sunny spells away from the showers, 17, 18 Celsius
00:58possible but where we've got the frequent downpours 13 or 14 Celsius at best. Later
01:05Saturday many of the inland showers tend to fade gradually as the sun goes down but in
01:11the north of Scotland some more prolonged outbreaks of rain turn up and they tend to
01:15sink their way southwards as the night goes on perhaps reaching northern Ireland, the
01:19far north of England by dawn. A few showers remain elsewhere but also some clear spells
01:25overnight temperatures dipping into the single figures where we've got the cloud remaining
01:2910 to 12 Celsius first thing Sunday. But low pressure stays with us on Sunday, it's just
01:35meandering across parts of northern UK. It is filling and so the weather becoming perhaps
01:41less unsettled but still plenty of rain or showers to talk about on Sunday morning. The
01:46main focus for the showers and longer spells of rain, northern Ireland, southern Scotland,
01:51England first thing Sunday. By the afternoon shower clouds will build elsewhere perhaps
01:56some more prolonged rain feeding into the north west of Scotland once again but the
01:59showers across England and Wales tending to become more scattered into the afternoon.
02:04A better chance of more long-lived sunshine I'd say coming through away from the showers
02:10particularly through parts of Wales, the Midlands, East Anglia for example. And where that happens
02:15with some lighter winds around feeling a bit more pleasant 18, 19, perhaps 20 Celsius,
02:21those temperatures slowly nudging back up towards average after a cold start to June.
02:27But obviously we've got the cloud, the gusty winds and the showers, it's not going to feel
02:31very pleasant at all through the weekend. It's certainly a case through the weekend
02:35of following the rain as it develops on the Met Office app, that's the best way to follow
02:40it because these showers will be very hit and miss, there will be some drier interludes
02:44and of course for next week's weather we'll keep you updated right here on our YouTube channel.
