00:00Hi there. Summer has finally turned up for many of us with increasingly sunny skies and
00:06increasing temperatures over the next few days. Having said that, it's not entirely
00:11sunny out there for the rest of Sunday. There is some lingering cloud, particularly across
00:16southern and southwestern parts, even some mist around some of the beaches of Cornwall
00:21for example. But where the sun does come through, and it certainly will across Scotland, northern
00:26England, parts of Wales for example, it's going to feel very pleasant out there with
00:30temperatures widely in the low 20s and in some spots up to 25, perhaps a smidge more
00:39in the warmer areas across central and southeastern England. Any cloud that does stick around
00:45should tend to thin through the evening and so actually a lovely end to Sunday for the
00:50vast majority. But the breeze will freshen across western Scotland and northern Ireland
00:55and we will see a very weak system push areas of cloud, patchy rain and drizzle in here.
01:02Even where we've got the clear spells elsewhere, temperatures are going to stay up in the mid-teens
01:08in some spots, 15 or 16 Celsius for example, Birmingham, London. So it's going to feel
01:14warmer overnight compared with many nights this summer so far. Some might say it's going
01:22to be a muggy night. Now we start off Monday for the vast majority with sunny skies and
01:28rising temperatures. There will again be some areas of cloud across central and southern
01:32parts, especially towards the south-west, perhaps the midlands seeing some thickening
01:37of the cloud through the day. And we've got that cloud and the breeze, western Scotland
01:41and northern Ireland, any patchy rain tending to fizzle out through the day. These are the
01:45exceptions though, for many it's just a fine and very warm summer's day with temperatures
01:51reaching 26-28 Celsius this time across the midlands and eastern England, 23-24 Celsius
01:58further north. Monday evening brings further fine conditions across many parts of the UK
02:04but again there's going to be some thicker cloud towards the far north-west, some light
02:09showers affecting the western isles, western parts of northern Ireland for example, clear
02:13spells elsewhere. And that leads us on to another settled Tuesday. But Tuesday night
02:21sees a weather front push into Scotland and northern Ireland. That will bring some fresher
02:25air by midweek into the north-west. It will also bring some rain or showers for a time
02:30but that fresher air doesn't quite reach central and southern and south-eastern parts and so
02:35temperatures are going to rise day by day, Tuesday, Wednesday into Thursday in some spots
02:40we'll see 30 Celsius or even a touch higher across south-eastern parts before eventually
02:47this low brings some cooler air in to end the week. So some higher temperatures for
02:53a time this week, certainly some high UV and high pollen counts and we'll keep you updated
03:00right here on our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
