00:00Hi there. Summer has arrived. Some might say long overdue, but it's not going to be entirely
00:08wall-to-wall blue skies. There are some weak fronts to talk about. This front, for example,
00:14into Scotland and Northern Ireland through the evening, bringing some thicker cloud and
00:18some light and patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle. That sinks into northern and western
00:22England as well as Wales overnight. By dawn, it stalls there across some south-western
00:28parts to bring a murky start to the day for much of Wales and the south-west, drizzle
00:34over the hills and some coastal mist. Where we've got that low cloud, temperatures will
00:39hold up at 13 Celsius, generally 11 or 12 elsewhere, although in some sheltered spots
00:46single figures are possible. A few mist patches are possible as well. But the gloomiest weather
00:51will be across northern and western England, parts of Wales first thing. However, away
00:56from the coast, that cloud will tend to thin and fragment, and by the afternoon, many
01:00places will be turning brighter, although it does turn cloudier for a time across central
01:04southern England, parts of East Anglia. Nevertheless, where we've got the sunshine, it's going to
01:09feel warm, 23 to 25 Celsius, and in the north, 19 to 22 degrees. In fact, Scotland, Northern
01:18Ireland, Northern England are likely to see the clearest skies through the day. Now, we
01:23keep the mist around some of these south-western shores through the afternoon. Something like
01:28Torbay could be fairly gloomy on the beaches, but come inland and it's brighter skies through
01:33the afternoon. But that mist could become more widespread overnight, once again, along
01:38the coast of southern England, and we'll also see some cloud return to western Scotland
01:42as well as Northern Ireland with some patchy light outbreaks of rain. Nothing particularly
01:47persistent or indeed heavy, and for many places, it's a settled night. Clear skies,
01:52but it's going to be a warmer night compared with much of June so far, 15 or 16 Celsius
02:00in some spots, and then widespread sunny skies to begin things on Monday morning, with just
02:05a few exceptions. Once again, western Scotland seeing some thicker cloud, Northern Ireland
02:09likewise, and some light showery rain arriving here. We'll also see some of that mistiness
02:14lurk around the coasts of southern England. We'll, end to the afternoon, see some cloud
02:20building across central parts, so not entirely sunny, but where we do get the sunshine coming
02:25through, 25 to 28 Celsius. It is warming up, and that warming trend continues with high
02:32pressure drifting to the east of the UK and keeping weather fronts largely at bay or at
02:38least weakening them as they drift into western Scotland, and around this high with wind circulating
02:44in a clockwise fashion. Warm air to the south will waft up towards the UK and temperatures
02:50will rise during the first part of this week, up to 30 Celsius on Wednesday before potential
02:57thunderstorms later Wednesday and into Thursday.
