00:00Hi there, many places have experienced warm sunny spells during Sunday although that can't
00:06be said for everywhere. There has been some lingering cloud particularly towards the southwest
00:10and that will tend to thicken up overnight with some mist returning to southwestern coasts.
00:16Patchy cloud here and there elsewhere and a thicker band of cloud and some patchy rain
00:21pushes into western Scotland, Northern Ireland with the breeze picking up here. Whether you've
00:25got the cloud or the clear spells overnight though it will be a warm not muggy night with
00:31temperatures in some places staying at 15 or 16 Celsius. So a warmer night certainly
00:37compared with many nights this June so far and it's a warm start to the day across the
00:43UK. Plenty of sunshine around but not entirely blue skies. Once more there'll be some low
00:49cloud around southwestern coasts could linger on the beaches through the day but inland
00:54it will tend to break up. There'll also be some thickening of the cloud across central
00:57parts during the afternoon. Meanwhile the early cloud and patchy rain for western Scotland
01:01and Northern Ireland tends to break up so brighter skies here by the afternoon. Some
01:05sunshine for many spots and it's going to feel warmer compared with recent days. Temperatures
01:12reaching 26 to 28 Celsius towards the south and east with Scotland seeing highs of 25
01:19Celsius in Northern Aberdeenshire, Northern Ireland 24 Celsius in places. 20 Celsius
01:24for Orkney, 17 there for Lerwick. So warmer than average certainly across the board. Then
01:31into the evening many places will see warm sunny spells continuing until the sun goes
01:36down but under the weak front just pushes into western Scotland, Northern Ireland again
01:41some thickening of the clouds and patchy light rain and drizzle as that front moves into
01:46an area of high pressure. That high pressure keeping things fine elsewhere but it's a warmer
01:51night still with 16 or even 17 Celsius for the overnight minimum in many places. We start
01:59Tuesday with plenty of sunshine across eastern and southern Scotland, much of England and Wales.
02:05Again we've got that thicker cloud associated with the weak front across western Scotland
02:09and Northern Ireland. The front then drifts east and gets a bit more active by the afternoon,
02:15could see some outbreaks of rain or showers, even some heavier rain for north-east Scotland,
02:20a few showers developing there for northern England as well. But further south plenty
02:25of sunshine and the heat intensifies with 28 or 29 Celsius possible in the south-east,
02:3225 there for eastern England. But a fresher day to come for Scotland and Northern Ireland
02:37because of the additional cloud and certainly as that front's gone through by Wednesday
02:42it's going to be a fresher feel across Scotland and Northern Ireland. But some sunshine returns
02:47for western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Meanwhile the heat continues to intensify
02:51further south and south-east, 30 Celsius likely to be the top temperature on Wednesday. But
02:58the odd thunderstorm could be triggered across parts of Wales and the south-west. Fast forward
03:03to Thursday and a bit of uncertainty about the top temperatures on Thursday in the east
03:08and south-east of England. The potential range there between 28 and 32 Celsius dependent
03:13on how quickly cooler and more changeable conditions spread in from the west with low
03:18pressure returning to the north-west. Showers or longer spells of rain for Scotland and
03:23Northern Ireland as well as later on western parts of the UK. And the potential for thunderstorms
03:29ahead of that system as it moves through Friday back to closer to average temperatures but
03:34more changeable in the north. We'll have much more on our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
