00:00Hi there. The weather during the next few days wouldn't be out of place in April. It's
00:04going to be cool, it's going to be showery, but there will be some brighter spells interspersed
00:09between the downpours. Low pressure over Scandinavia driving northerly winds and this smaller low
00:15that brought some strong winds to East Anglia earlier and a band of rain. But that rain
00:20is now pushing into the continent and we've got behind a lot of cloud cover, frequent
00:25showers especially for Scotland, Northern and Eastern England, parts of Northern Ireland
00:29as well. One or two heavy downpours perhaps somewhere between the Peak District and East
00:33Anglia, the old rumble of thunder. But towards the south-west, that's where it's going to
00:38be driest and there will be some sunshine coming through in the sunshine in the south-west
00:43up to 19 or 20 Celsius. So feeling pleasant enough, watch out for the high UV levels as
00:48well. But where we've got that wind from the north, particularly for the north and the
00:52east, 13 or 14 Celsius, making it feel much cooler than you'd expect in June. Now, through
00:59the evening the showers will continue for a time and so there's always the chance that
01:04some places will see showers after dark. But for many, those showers will fade back to
01:10the coasts and we'll see lengthy clear spells developing, particularly towards the south
01:14and west. And where we've got those clear spells, temperatures dipping to the mid-single
01:19figures, perhaps a touch lower in some of the most sheltered spots. So always a possibility
01:24of a grass frost first thing Tuesday, certainly a chill in the air, but actually plenty of
01:29bright weather as well. Blue skies for southern and central parts, but quite quickly through
01:33the morning the cloud will build and again showers will develop. Just about anywhere,
01:38once more could see a shower, but the most frequent downpours will be across northern
01:42and central England into East Anglia. Now, temperatures will be a little lower compared
01:47with Monday, somewhere like Newcastle could see just 12 Celsius, but where we've got the
01:53brightest spells towards the south and the west, and it's going to be mostly dry here
01:58as well, 16, 17, 18 Celsius, not feeling too chilly out of the wind in the sunshine, but
02:06that's key really because this north of the airflow is much cooler than you'd normally
02:13see in June for example. Overnight we'll see lengthy clear spells once again and then into
02:17Wednesday the winds ease, higher pressure builds and it's a fine day, but further rain
02:23and showers will end the week.
