Transcript
00:00Good afternoon. Clouds will build to allow a risk of thunderstorms and some slow moving
00:04heavy showers for some of us through this afternoon. And there are weather warnings
00:07in force across parts of western Northern Ireland, parts of Wales and southwest of England.
00:12And we could also see some heavy showers developing across southeastern areas of England as well
00:17later on this afternoon. So quite a lot of rain could fall in a short period of time
00:22that could lead to some travel disruption. Take a closer look at our website and app
00:26for more details on those warnings. Low clouds going to continue to affect eastern coasts
00:30of northern England, eastern Scotland as well. So temperatures will be a little below par
00:34here for much of the day. And most of us will see temperatures a couple of degrees cooler
00:39than yesterday. However, across the far northwest of Scotland, temperatures could still climb
00:44into the low 20s with the best of the sunshine here. Heavy showers will continue through
00:49this evening, particularly across the southwest of England, parts of Wales. And we could see
00:53those heavy showers lingering across the southeast of England as well. But it's overnight.
00:58We start to see this mass of rain arrive from the North Sea, and that's going to become
01:02a much bigger feature throughout the course of Wednesday. So some very heavy and persistent
01:05rain to come on Wednesday. But for most northern areas, it will turn a little bit drier through
01:10the night. But there's going to be quite a lot of cloud around. So temperatures will
01:12be held up. So another fairly mild start to the day on Wednesday. But sunshine is going
01:17to be a lot more limited than it was this morning. That heavy rain across the east is
01:22as a result of this low pressure moving in from the east. We've got frontal systems
01:26wrapped around that. Those frontal systems are likely to push further west than we were
01:30expecting yesterday. So a more widely wet day is on the cards for Wednesday. Some very
01:35heavy and persistent rain to come. Let's watch as that rain moves northwestwards through
01:40the day on Wednesday. So after a fairly dry and bright start across the far north of Scotland,
01:45it will turn much cloudier and wetter through the day. There are warnings in force for some
01:49very heavy and persistent rain. So further travel disruption is possible for many northern
01:54areas of the UK, potentially into central areas as well. There will be some brightness
01:59across the south coast, but also a risk of showers. Temperatures a little bit higher
02:03across the south coast, but for most of us, a little below average for the time of year.
02:07So it's going to be an unsettled and fairly cool couple of days. Some very heavy rain
02:11to come with warnings in force. So it's important to keep up to date with the forecast. And
02:15you can do that by subscribing to our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
