00:00Hello, welcome to your latest update from the Met Office. Well, it's going to be a more
00:04typically autumnal day out there for many of us with a bit more sunshine on the cards.
00:09Here's your latest satellite picture from this morning. You can see a few holes in the
00:13cloud starting to develop across southern areas after a bit of a murky start for some
00:17of us. And after a brighter start in the north, the cloud is starting to thicken. You can
00:21see a big massive cloud to the northwest and that's ahead of this weather front that will
00:26become more dominant as we head through the rest of the week for northern areas. So turning
00:31cloudier across parts of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland, with some rain arriving
00:35that will stay fairly dry for the bulk of the day. Across the south, though, cloud will
00:40lift and break up to leave many of us with some sunny spells through the day and it will
00:44stay largely dry. A few showers clipping the east coast here and there, but most showers
00:49should fade away as we head towards the evening for these areas. In any sunshine, not feeling
00:54too bad, 11 or 12 degrees around average for the time of year. And then also after
00:58the chilliest start this morning, it will stay fairly cool through the bulk of the day.
01:03And then through this evening, we'll see the clouds thicken through northern areas, the
01:06rain becoming a bit more dominant, particularly starting to persist across northwestern areas
01:12of Scotland. It'll stay dry, though, elsewhere. And with a thin coverage of cloud, we could
01:17see some mist and fog developing and temperatures falling down into the low single figures for
01:23many rural areas in the south. A milder night, though, further north with a bit more cloud
01:28and that rain persisting all the way through into Wednesday morning. So still quite a wet
01:33and breezy day for Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland. The rain will come and go across
01:38the hills of northern England as well. It'll stay dry, though, for much of the day across
01:43Wales and England, but it will be that much cloudier. Despite more cloud around, it won't
01:49feel too bad. Some sunny spells, particularly across eastern areas as well, an 11 or 12
01:54degrees. And still, despite that rain and cloud in the north, we could see highs around
01:5814 degrees across eastern areas of Scotland through Wednesday evening. There's very little
02:04change from many areas. However, across the north, you can start to see the winds really
02:08starting to pick up along that front as the front will start to push southwards. Finally,
02:14behind it, it will turn much colder as well. So we see that front push southwards across
02:20the country finally in Thursday and Friday and behind it, that colder air and that northerly
02:26northwesterly breeze will bring a much chillier feel to end the week. So we've got some frost
02:32on the cards as well as some snow showers over the hills of Scotland. But keep up to
02:36the date with the latest. And you can do that by subscribing to our YouTube channel. I'll
02:40see you later.
