00:00Hello. It'll stay rather cloudy and very mild over the next few days with little change
00:06to our weather. Now, the reason we're seeing very little change is because our weather
00:10pattern is not really changing. We've got this string of fronts pushing up from the
00:15southwest, just continuing to clip the far northwest of the UK. Ahead of that, we've
00:20got a stream of southwesterly air. On Thursday night, that southwesterly air is going to
00:25bring a lot of cloud to the bulk of the UK, as well as some rain to the far northwest,
00:31where the rain has been persisting for a day or so now. So, the rain will continue across
00:37the isles of Stornoway and Lewis, as well as western areas of the Highlands, where up
00:41to 100 millimetres of rain could fall over the next few days. Elsewhere, though, it'll
00:48be largely dry, though there could be some spots of drizzle across the high ground of
00:53as well as northern parts of England. For all of us, though, it is going to be a noticeably
00:59mild night. These temperatures on the chart are higher than the daytime average for this
01:05time of year. So, it will be a very mild start to Friday, but it will be quite windy too,
01:11especially so for southeastern areas of Scotland. There's a warning in force as gusty winds may
01:18bring travel delays for high-sided vehicles. The rain across the far north of Scotland will
01:24sink into southern areas of Scotland and central Scotland, as well as Northern Ireland through
01:29Friday afternoon, bringing brighter skies for a time behind it. There'll also be some
01:34bright skies in the southeast, where it will feel very warm for the time of year. Highs
01:39of up to 18 degrees are possible for some areas of England. There will be quite breezy,
01:45with some drizzle every now and then across high ground in western parts of the UK.
01:52So, a rather cloudy end to the week, with rain pushing in to more northern areas of
01:57England overnight. To the north of this rain, we'll see some fresher air push in across
02:03northern England and parts of Northern Ireland, allowing for a cooler night on Friday night here.
02:08To the south of the rain, though, another mild one, and it will be calmer than previous days.
02:15However, that will allow quite a lot of widespread mist and fog and low cloud to develop
02:20across the far southeast, so it could be a bit of a murky start to the weekend.
02:26That fog could persist through Sunday as well, though for many areas it'll be a dry and fine
02:32weekend, with rain largely just affecting the far north of the UK. But you can find a full,
02:39detailed weather forecast for the weekend on our YouTube channel. I'll see you later.
