00:00Hello. Some more autumnal sunshine on the cards for the next couple of days, but that
00:04does come at the expense of some colder air arriving. That air is going to arrive from
00:10the Arctic with these deep blues denoting that change to the colder air. It'll be replacing
00:16this milder Atlantic air that many of us will have woken up this morning. So, you'll certainly
00:21notice a difference or a change over the next 24 hours or so. This cold front is going to
00:26be marking that change, and as it does sink southwards, it will bring a spell of rain
00:31to central areas through this afternoon and then into the south through this evening.
00:36Ahead of that front, though, we do have still quite mild and cloudy conditions. So, temperatures
00:41will be feeling similar to yesterday. We're still in the same set-up as we were yesterday.
00:45A mild start, though, so temperatures climbing up to 12 or 13 degrees here. Quite a difference,
00:51though, further north with temperatures falling through the day and only highs of around 10
00:55degrees, but many areas still in single figures through this afternoon. You'll also notice
01:01that brisk breeze continuing, some quite strong winds, really, to the east of high ground
01:06through this afternoon still, but through the North Sea overnight is where we'll really
01:10start to see the winds pick up. The strengthening winds will also arrive to the Shetland Isles,
01:15so there is a warning in force from tonight into tomorrow morning, as well as some icy
01:21patches expected. We could see some wintry showers falling over the hills of Scotland,
01:26but for everywhere, we'll be in that colder air overnight. The winds will stay strong,
01:31as I said, overnight. That'll keep frost fairly limited, and there's still a fair amount of
01:36cloud around as well. But you will really notice a difference by the time you wake up
01:40tomorrow morning, particularly on the east coast, closer to those stronger winds. The
01:45far southwest, you will notice it does stay a little bit milder. We don't quite get into
01:49the colder air until a little bit later through Friday in the southwest here. So, a chillier
01:55feel tomorrow morning, but as I said, frost more limited. You will notice a bit more sunshine
02:00coming through, particularly by the afternoon, for the bulk of the country. While we've still
02:04got a bit of that milder air in the west, it will stay a little bit cloudier, so sunshine
02:07not quite as widespread here. There's also a risk of the odd shower here and there. But
02:11as I said, plenty of sunshine, particularly for the north of Scotland, where it's been
02:16a fairly cloudy few days, you will notice that brightness. However, temperatures will
02:21be lower than today, particularly on the east coast, and it's the breeze that will really
02:26knock down those temperatures. So here's the feels like temperatures close to zero, if
02:31not below in the east coast, that much milder further west away from those winds. So in
02:36any sunshine in the west, it's not going to feel too bad, but you'll certainly notice
02:40the crispness through the evening. Then it does dry out. We do get the wind pulling in
02:46a few showers across the east coast. These will mainly be falling as rain across the
02:50east and elsewhere, staying dry and clear. And that sets us up for a rather frosty start
02:56to the weekend. Temperatures potentially falling as low as minus eight degrees on Saturday
03:02morning. So you could see some frosty scenes like this on the weekend. But you can find
03:06more details about our weekend forecast by taking a look at our full weekend forecast
03:10will be uploaded to YouTube later today. Bye bye for now.
