00:00Hello again. A bit of a chilly start on Tuesday, but most places will be dry and bright. We
00:07will see again some shower clouds bubbling up, just like on Monday. The showers on Monday
00:12evening fading away from the northeast, leaving a largely dry and clear night. The main exception
00:18to that will be northern Scotland, where cloud will start to spill in. We'll see one or two
00:22showery outbreaks of rain by dawn. It will be a bit of a chilly one, though. So anyway,
00:27we've got the clear spells across England and Wales. Temperatures well down into single
00:31digits, and one or two spots in the countryside may not be far off freezing to start Tuesday.
00:37So a fresh start, but the sun gets up pretty early and that will start to lift the temperatures
00:42with blue skies for a good chunk of the country through the first half of the morning. Main
00:47exception to that will be northern Scotland. Some patchy rain here. That will trickle through
00:51the central belts from late morning onwards, bringing a few showers here. And later on
00:56into the afternoon, we could easily see a few showers across eastern Scotland and then
01:00southern Scotland and perhaps scattered across northern England, too. But they will be scattered.
01:05I suspect many places will stay dry, certainly over the Midlands, Wales, southern England
01:09looking largely dry here. Some cloud will develop. It's not going to be blue skies all
01:13day, but dry and bright. And it should cheer up over northern Scotland as well after a
01:18bit of a drab start. A mixture of sunny spells, a bit of cloud and one or two showers for
01:23northern Ireland. A fairly brisk breeze still blowing over the northern isles, keeping the
01:27temperatures here at 10 or 11 at best, I suspect. Elsewhere, we should get into the teens, but
01:32still generally below average for the time of year, peaking in the south at 17, 18, perhaps
01:3819 Celsius, but mostly on the cool side still. Still one or two showers to come as well through
01:45Tuesday evening over northern and eastern England. But again, pretty well scattered
01:49and fading by midnight. So generally another dry night as we head into Wednesday morning.
01:55It's a similar kind of story again. We'll start off a little fresh, but we should start
01:58off with a fair bit of sunshine, certainly across the south. We will see another weather
02:03system moving into the northwest, so some rain likely to head across the Western Isles
02:07before lunch and then into the mainland of Scotland during the afternoon. But much of
02:13the south of Scotland, central belt staying dry and elsewhere again, one or two scatters,
02:18but perhaps heavy showers across the east. The vast majority, though, staying dry, staying
02:22bright and temperatures just showing signs of ticking up a little bit more widely, 16,
02:2617 degrees. And that will continue through the rest of the week. Still one or two showers
02:32here and there. But for most, this area of high pressure dominating through this week
02:36will keep things fine and dry as we've seen where the systems try and topple in across
02:40parts of Scotland. And another weather front may bring some rain to Scotland and Northern
02:45Ireland later on Thursday. But for the majority, high pressure bringing a largely dry week
02:50and temperatures just ticking up a little bit as well. Full week ahead forecast is available
