00:00Hello there. There was plenty of sunshine and blue skies on offer throughout Thursday.
00:06These were the scenes in Aberystwyth and many of us saw similar scenes. A great day to be
00:10down by the beach if you could be. Most of us will hold onto some of that sunshine as
00:15we head throughout the evening but it is worth noting western parts of Northern Ireland could
00:19see a few scours push their way through and spoil the party a touch. Some of those will
00:23be heavy, potential for the odd rumble of thunder across parts of County Fermanagh, County
00:27Tyrone so do just take care. Elsewhere throughout Thursday evening there's going to be a lot
00:32of dry weather. Clear skies for many of us into the overnight period as well and generally
00:36fine night to come. Just a little bit of cloud lapping across parts of the Western Isles
00:41and north of Highlands. Temperatures in eastern areas not doing too badly now. We'll be down
00:48into single figures in places or at least holding up around 10 degrees Celsius so a
00:52bit more comfortable for sleeping here. As you move further towards the west though it
00:56is still a bit more humid around mid-teens 15-16 degrees Celsius. The eagle eyed among
01:02you will also have noticed these showers pushing into the far southwest and that is associated
01:08with an area of low pressure that is increasingly going to become the main feature of our weather
01:13as we head into the weekend. It's pushing these occluded fronts towards the UK and they
01:18are bringing bands of showers as we head into Friday and the weekend. So they're moving
01:24in from the west so as we head throughout Friday morning we'll see them pushing into
01:28parts of southwest England, Wales but increasingly into Northern Ireland throughout mid-morning
01:32and into the afternoon. Again some of these could be heavy torrential downpours of rain
01:37may cause a bit of localised flooding in places and the odd rumble of thunder is also possible
01:41in the mixture. Increasingly seeing them through Wales through the afternoon as well but much
01:46of Scotland, much of Northern England down into central southern areas of England as
01:50well will stay dry throughout the day and it'll be another glorious one of a lot of
01:55sunshine on offer. Temperatures again in that sunshine will be responding climbing to highs
02:00of 27-28 degrees possible in a few places as well so still quite still very warm hot
02:07even if you do want to cool off do head towards those coastal areas where a bit of sea breeze
02:11develops. As we move into the overnight period those showers in the west are increasingly
02:15going to push their way in so now spreading into parts of western Scotland might see a
02:20few part in northwest England as well. There's cloud also spreading its way in so generally
02:26sky is turning a bit cloudier as we head towards the start of Saturday morning. Also just note
02:31the potential for a bit of cloud pushing into parts of east Anglia as well. It's a similar
02:35situation with our temperatures come the night before again eastern areas underneath some
02:40of those clearer skies still around single figures around 10 or 11 degrees Celsius so
02:45not too bad when you are trying to get to sleep but wrapped up again in all these showers
02:49and the cloud that's pushing into the west is a lot more humid air and that's going to
02:54make it feel potentially quite muggy and sticky once again as we start off Saturday morning.
03:01As we move into the weekend itself then starting to see more in the way of those showers particularly
03:05across Northern Ireland could be a lot of rainfall here. There is worth taking note
03:10of some potential disruption throughout the day. Elsewhere there'll be a lot of fine weather
03:14again for eastern parts of Scotland down into eastern England as well. Once any of that
03:18cloud across coastal areas does eventually lift its way off still got to cater for some
03:23of those showers across southwest England parts of Wales again could be heavy in places.
03:30Temperatures again a notch down compared to where we saw them on the Saturday for on Friday
03:35even for many of us now that we've got that increased amounts of clouds around 24 25 degrees
03:40still very warm if you do catch that sunshine particularly for parts of Northern Ireland
03:45where the cloud is thickest we might drop down to around 18 19 degrees Celsius. Do you
03:50remember that even where you have some of that wispy cloud making the sunshine hazy
03:54UV levels are still going to be high or very high so it is worth still thinking about that
03:58skin protection as UV can penetrate through the cloud itself. As we move forward onto
04:05Sunday those showers are increasingly going to spread their way more widely across the
04:09rest of the UK again the rumbles of thunder will continue particularly across those western
04:14areas but all of us will start to see the risk of that showery unsettled conditions
04:19pushing towards us so the potential that we see a little bit of grass a little bit of
04:23rain even falling for our grass in the gardens. The showers though are going to be hit or
04:28miss not everyone is going to see them though so they will be a bit scattered in nature.
04:34We'll keep you up to date with the full forecast as we head towards the weekend though and
04:38the likely areas that may potentially see some of those showers across all of our social
04:42media channels and we'll be back here again very shortly. Bye bye.
