00:00Hello there, it's been a breezy day for many of us on Saturday but particularly
00:05windy for northwestern areas of the UK. We've seen wind gusts in excess of 50
00:11miles per hour across northern areas of Scotland, these rather unseasonably
00:16strong winds. They will be dying down as we move into Saturday evening and
00:21overnight but still remaining relatively windy for Scotland with spells of rain
00:26pushing through and some scattered showers as well for a time across
00:29Northern Ireland and Northern England. Drier conditions further south in
00:33England and Wales and these clearer skies will potentially allow for a few
00:37mist and fog patches to form around dawn but temperatures generally holding up
00:41around double digits in most towns and cities. The brightest and sunniest skies
00:47to begin Sunday then will be in the south east and many areas of England and
00:53Wales will get away with a pretty pleasant and fine day. Cloudier across
00:59Northern Ireland and Scotland again with the continued risk of some showers
01:03pushing their way through but they'll be moving through at a relatively quick
01:06pace owing to the continued breezy winds. Temperatures reaching mid-teens across
01:12Scotland and Northern Ireland but underneath the sunniest skies further
01:15south, the potential once again to climb to low 20s. With the warm and fine weather in
01:21the south though it is worth noting that pollen levels will be very high
01:24across many areas of England so do just be wary if you suffer from hay fever. As
01:29we move into Sunday evening there'll be plenty of late sunshine to enjoy across
01:34southern areas of England and Wales. The sunshine a bit more intermittent across
01:38Scotland with a continued risk of a shower. Into next week we'll retain this
01:42split in the weather so the best of the sunshine always towards the south and
01:46temperatures on the rise particularly in the south east but to keep up to date
01:50with all of that and what is heading our way next week make sure you're
01:54following us on social media and we'll see you again soon. Bye bye!
