00:00Hello there. Fog, frost and snow was the name of the game as we woke up on Sunday morning,
00:06particularly areas of central and southern England waking up to some rather murky scenes
00:11of wonderful shots here in Norfolk. If we move further west it was a dusting of snow
00:16that greeted us, a wonderful shot here again in Pontypridd, Wales from Emma. It is this
00:21snow across southern Wales that has just shifted its way into Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire
00:26and could continue for a time into Sunday afternoon. A few wintry showers across southern
00:30coast of England as well, they'll tend to drift their way eastwards throughout the day
00:34and those stubborn fog patches will persist for a fair amount of the day as well, tending
00:39to remain fairly cloudy and murky here. The best of the sunshine then across Northern
00:44Ireland, central areas of Scotland and a few areas of Northern England as well. Snow showers
00:50continuing for the Highlands and the Western Isles but for all of us it's going to be a
00:53cold day, really temperatures not climbing too far, much beyond 1 or 2 Celsius at best,
01:00we can hope for 6 degrees in Jersey. Temperatures will be dropping even further as we head into
01:05the evening and it's here where we just have to watch out for a feature in the far southeast
01:10as those showers shift their way northwards a bit and come inland that could produce a
01:14bit of sleet and snow. Generally Kent and Sussex more likely to see some snow accumulations
01:19maybe 1 or 2 centimetres at lower levels, 5 to 10 centimetres on the higher grounds
01:24but there is scope for eastern areas of Essex, eastern areas of London to see a few wintry
01:28flakes into the early hours of Monday morning as well and that could just provide a bit
01:33of disruption first thing so do just take care when you are heading out. The freezing
01:37fog will return quite widely again across central and southern areas of England but
01:41perhaps more extensively now into the Vale of York, North West England and also across
01:45Northern Ireland. The clearest skies overnight for areas of Scotland and it's here where
01:50we'll see temperatures drop down quite rapidly. Minus 10, minus 12 Celsius is possible in
01:55some rural locations over lying snow but for all of us there will be a widespread frost
02:01once again quite widely into minus digits and certainly a cold start to Monday morning.
02:07Ice scrapers at the ready particularly in the far southeast and the far northwest where
02:11those showers are continuing to fall on frozen surfaces. The freezing fog will persist again
02:17and linger throughout the morning generally a murky one here but sunnier skies for central
02:23Scotland and into Northern England once again. The showers tend to shift their focus up towards
02:28Shetland for the second half of Monday and into Tuesday and we could see 5 to 10 centimetres
02:33of snow build up across areas here quite widely otherwise temperatures once again are not
02:40going to be climbing too high. Generally twos freeze Celsius but where this cloud and freezing
02:45fog persists we might not really climb much higher than zero degrees Celsius. Throughout
02:51the rest of Monday evening it's a similar picture where the freezing fog will return
02:56once again and the clearest skies continue for Scotland and areas of Northern England.
03:00The showers persisting across areas of Shetland. Do stay up to date with the forecast and you
03:06can do that by following us on social media as well as here on YouTube the website and
