00:00Hello again. A fine day once more for many of us but not for all. There is some cloud
00:06and some outbreaks of rain feeding into the far north and west of Scotland as well as
00:11the far west of Northern Ireland at times. Certainly a thicker cloud here and a breeze
00:16but elsewhere. For eastern Scotland, for at times parts of the far north of Scotland as
00:21well as for much of England and Wales. It's sunny spells and staying dry with temperatures
00:26responding well with the sunshine and a subtle change in wind direction mean that some of
00:30these North Sea coasts are significantly warmer compared with Monday. 14, 15, perhaps in one
00:36or two of the warmer spots, 16 Celsius. A bit cooler there for the south coast as well
00:41as where we've got the cloud cover into western Scotland and Northern Ireland and here outbreaks
00:45of rain push more firmly in through the evening. Spells of increasingly persistent wet weather,
00:52moderate to heavy bursts as well. That rain feeding into west Wales, north west England
00:57by dawn and the thicker cloud across most of the UK will keep things frost free but
01:02clear spells remaining for east Anglia and the south east. Here temperatures dipping
01:05to minus 1 or minus 2 Celsius in some of the colder spots. Nevertheless, that's the brightest
01:10location as we start off Wednesday, some sunny spells. Increasingly high cloud moving in
01:17turning the sunshine milky through the day but it's staying largely dry and bright because
01:21the wet weather further west is slow moving but it does push into northern and western
01:25England and Wales leading to a damp afternoon for many. Clearing for western Scotland and
01:30parts of Northern Ireland by the end of the afternoon as skies brighten here, 13 Celsius
01:34possible. Also, 13 or 14 degrees possible towards the south east where we get some sunny
01:39spells but where it's raining 9 to 11 Celsius along with a keen breeze. Into the evening
01:46the outbreaks of rain slowly make their way eastwards reaching east Anglia and the south
01:51east after dark. But clear spells returning to western Scotland and Northern Ireland albeit
01:56with some showers and really that sets the theme for Thursday as the weather system moves
02:02through. We've got quite a few showers developing on Thursday itself interspersed by sunny spells
02:07but then high pressure returns for the start of the Easter weekend leading to plenty of
02:11fine and dry weather on Friday, Saturday into Easter Day before these weather fronts start
02:17to try and move in from the end of the Easter weekend. So plenty of fine weather coming
02:24up but a spell of rain midweek to get through first.
