00:00Hi there, a beautiful blue skies day for most of us today before it turns unsettled and
00:06cooler over the next few days.
00:08So barely a cloud in the sky for the vast majority, just some fair weather cumulus bubbling
00:13up I think.
00:14Some thicker cloud coming in later in the afternoon for East Anglia and the South East
00:18and perhaps the odd shower by the middle of the afternoon in the far South East.
00:23This carried in by a stiff easterly breeze and that again, like the last few days, will
00:28impact temperatures which means that West is best for the highest values and especially
00:34North West Scotland once again 18, 19, perhaps even in one or two spots 20 Celsius, a marked
00:40contrast compared to the North Sea coast 10 to 13 Celsius and it will be certainly noticeable
00:47once that cloud moves in just how cool it's going to feel.
00:50With that cloud bringing showers into London and the South East during the evening, those
00:53showers trundling across southern counties, not many of them I don't think, not particularly
00:59heavy through the evening but then by the early hours of Friday some heavier and more
01:04persistent rain arriving into the East of England.
01:07Meanwhile clear skies towards the North and West and across Scotland certainly a chance
01:12of a frost under those clear skies with light winds temperatures dipping into some shelter
01:17spots a few degrees below freezing but with the cloud and the breeze further South no
01:22chance of a frost 6 or 7 Celsius however it's here where we're going to see some wet
01:26weather moving across southern parts during Friday.
01:29It's coming in from the East, we've still got this easterly airflow, we've still got
01:32higher pressure to the North and that's going to keep fine conditions for one more day across
01:37Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as Northern England, a bright start here but for central
01:41and southern parts of the UK we've got this area of rain just moving through so a wet
01:45start for East Anglia and the South East, that rain moving into the Midland during the
01:48morning into Wales and the South West breaking up into showers although some more persistent
01:53bursts remaining towards the South West and eventually arriving into Northern England
01:57as well in between some bright spells developing however there will be some heavy downpours
02:02through Wales, the Midlands into the South East and of course with the additional cloud
02:06it's going to be noticeable with the temperatures 11 to 13 Celsius rather than the mid-teens
02:11and for Scotland and Northern Ireland we keep the sunny spells and again North West Scotland
02:17faring best for the warmth 18-19 Celsius here, a significant contrast once again for
02:24that North Sea coast, low teens or even 10 or 11 Celsius.
02:30Now the showery weather continues across England and Wales during Friday evening, it is edging
02:34its way further north as time progresses and it looks like the weekend is going to be significantly
02:40cooler across most parts although the North Sea coast has of course experienced that over
02:46the last few days and there will be showers or longer spells to rain about on Saturday and Sunday.
