00:00Hello, there is a good deal of this in the forecast over the coming few days, but by

00:05the weekend it will start to feel a little bit warmer. It's rather cold out there at

00:09the moment, thanks to these northerly winds. But behind this weather front to the south

00:13and west, we are starting to see slightly marder conditions pushing in during the course

00:18of Wednesday. But back to Tuesday evening, there are a few showers continuing to affect

00:23parts of northern Scotland, and some of those showers have a bit of a wintry mix to them.

00:28But to the south and west, we are already seeing that cloud starting to actually move

00:33in overnight. And that cloud across the south will help to actually keep those temperatures

00:38up a little bit. But further north across parts of Scotland with largely clear skies,

00:44those temperatures fall in low enough for a widespread frost. And some rural spots

00:49in the Highlands could see temperatures very similar to what we saw last night, down to

00:54minus six or minus seven. So a cold night up there. So it's a cold but bright start

00:59to Wednesday morning across Scotland. But that cloud already across parts of Devon and

01:04Cornwall pushing steadily north and eastwards with outbreaks of large patchy rain and drizzle

01:11in the mix. So quite a grim day down south. But temperatures rather disappointing for

01:18the time of year, especially down in the south, where we see those cloudier skies.

01:24Further north, temperatures struggling into high single figures. And that's despite the

01:29fact we've actually got those sunnier skies up there. So during the course of Wednesday

01:35evening, we do see a fair amount of cloud across England and Wales. But a new area of

01:39rain starts to push in across parts of Northern Ireland and eventually into Scotland during

01:45the course of Thursday. And the unsettled picture continues as we move through the rest

01:50of the week. A new area of heavy rain moving in from the south during the course of Thursday.

01:56Things starting to improve a little bit by the time we get to Friday. But those temperatures

02:00starting to actually recover. And by the time we get to the weekend, we may even see some
