00:00Hello again. Wednesday is looking like a bit of an east-west split, with after a by and
00:05large fine bright start for many, rain pushing into western areas during the day. Whereas
00:10in the east, particularly eastern England, by and large it will be a fine and probably
00:15reasonably warm day, certainly compared to recent days. But the rain is coming in from
00:19the west thanks to this area of low pressure and these weather fronts slowly edging towards
00:24us. Ahead of that, we've had a bit of a ridge of high pressure, which has brought large
00:29parts of the country a fine Tuesday, but there's still some heavy showers around through Tuesday
00:33evening and a Met Office yellow warning in place across parts of eastern Scotland for
00:37the isolated thunderstorms continuing here, before fizzling out through the early hours
00:42and many places becoming dry overnight. But here comes the rain, here comes that weather
00:47front. It will be a slightly cooler night, perhaps than recent nights, but still many
00:51towns and cities holding up in the teens, some rural spots maybe down to single digits.
00:57On to Wednesday and as I said, for many it's a dry bright start, certainly across central
01:00and eastern parts, but quickly clouding over for Wales, southwest England and very quickly
01:05turning wet across Northern Ireland. Could be some heavy rain here for a time through
01:09the morning, but actually Northern Ireland brightening up quite a bit come the afternoon.
01:13Meanwhile, the rain will spread steadily into Scotland, again some heavy bursts likely.
01:17By the afternoon, it'll be turning damp over parts of northwest England, much of Wales
01:22and eventually southwest England as well. But apart from the odd shower of the Midlands,
01:26much of central and eastern England dry and bright. It will cloud over a little bit, but
01:30it's here where we're likely to have the high temperatures, 23, 24, maybe a 25 Celsius.
01:37Elsewhere, obviously with more clouds, the wind picking up and the outbreaks of rain,
01:40it will be quite a bit cooler. But we could still get to 19, 20 ahead of the rain in eastern
01:45Scotland and some afternoon sunshine in Belfast could see those temperatures also close to
01:5020 Celsius. It'll brighten up too in western Scotland through the afternoon with the rain
01:54continuing to track its way northwards towards the Northern Isles. Further south, it kind
01:58of wobbles a bit, this weather front springing a band of cloud, patchy drizzle over the Midlands
02:04and southern England as we head into Thursday. It kind of might just push back a bit further
02:09north once more into parts of southwest England, maybe south Wales. Some uncertainty about
02:14the position of this zone of cloud, but a grey day in much of the southwest and increasing
02:19cloud again over the Midlands. Some brightness across the southeast at times, certainly for
02:24many northern areas, a much brighter day on Thursday with sunny spells for north Wales,
02:29northwest England. But there will be a whole clutch of showers and blustery showers as
02:33well returning to northern and western Scotland late in the day. Temperature wise on Thursday,
02:38well, it depends how much sunshine you get. With a bit of it, we could again get into
02:42the low or even close to mid 20s. Generally speaking, where it's cloudier and windier
02:47in the northwest, temperatures in the high teens or maybe low 20s. This area of low pressure
02:52then will dominate through Thursday and into Friday. The ice bars pretty close together
02:56as well through Thursday and into Friday. So the winds will be picking up, especially
03:00in the northwest, high pressure holding on across the south. So we kind of switch things
03:05around as we head towards the weekend. Instead of an east west split, more of a north south
03:10split with the driest weather across the south and plenty of showers further north. For more
03:15details on that, make sure you stay up to date with the latest forecast. And of course,
