00:00Hello again and welcome to the latest weather forecast from the Met Office.
00:03After a very wet and windy Halloween so far, it will stay windy overnight and into Monday
00:08with blustery showers but also some sunshine for many of us. It's this area of low pressure
00:13that brought the damaging winds across some parts of the UK on Sunday. It moves to the
00:17north of Scotland on Monday, allowing showery conditions to affect much of the UK and then
00:23northerly winds bring much colder conditions to much of the country with the risk of overnight
00:27frost and some fog patches. Back to Sunday evening though and we've got frequent showers
00:32out towards the west and longer spills of rain across the north of Scotland. Weather
00:37warnings in force overnight for both wind and rain, the best of the drier and clearer
00:41conditions towards more southeastern areas but staying windy for most areas and that
00:46should help to mix the air and keep those temperatures up sufficiently high enough to
00:50prevent too much in the way of frost. As we go into Monday morning, it stays very showery,
00:56some longer spills of rain particularly towards the northwest of Scotland but also across northwest
01:01England, north Wales at times, some sunshine in between particularly for more southern counties
01:05of England and Wales across Northern Ireland as well but some heavy showers at times, the odd
01:10rumble of thunder possible and temperatures a bit below par for the time of year and feeling quite
01:16cold in that wind with highs of just 9 to 13 degrees for most places. It stays showery as we
01:23go into Monday evening particularly towards the north and the northwest where a few heavier
01:27showers are still likely, some clearer sky though further east and south. As we go into Tuesday,
01:34it will turn increasingly dry with some showers still around the coastal regions but longer
01:39sunnier periods for most inland areas. Cold with a chance of overnight frosts and fog but for all
