00:00Hello. Whilst it's a dry and sunny picture across many northern parts of the UK, it's
00:05a very different story further south. Here we have some wet weather due to a double frontal
00:09stricture that is pushing its way northwards as we go through Tuesday and then clearing
00:13southwards on Wednesday. High pressure building from the west will then turn things a little
00:17bit more settled but also dragging cooler air from the north, so we're going to see
00:21temperatures dropping. Taking a closer look at Tuesday then, and yes, heavy thundery rain
00:25pushing its way northwards across southern most counties. Elsewhere across the UK, lots
00:30of dry weather and a good deal of sunshine too, just a few showers to watch out for towards
00:34the far north of Scotland. Temperatures a little bit lower than they have been recently
00:38and feeling fresher for most, particularly towards the north here, high teens at best.
00:42Further south, we're getting into the low 20s but still some high humidity, so perhaps
00:46not feeling much fresher here. As we go through the end of Tuesday, we're going to continue
00:51to see that wet weather in the south edging further northwards, perhaps reaching the far
00:55south of Wales and into Essex and Suffolk as we go through the evening and overnight.
00:59Still could be heavy at times, perhaps with some thunder. Further north, clearer skies,
01:03a few showers to watch out for across northern and western parts of Scotland, but a generally
01:07dry picture here. Cooler than recent nights, temperatures in prone spots under the clear
01:12skies will get into the mid to low single figures, though staying milder towards the
01:16south under that cloud rain and here it could be a little blustery too. So, a wet start
01:21across those southern counties on Wednesday morning, still some heavy bursts of rain,
01:25but it will gradually turn drier and brighter as we go into the afternoon, though perhaps
01:29taking well into the afternoon for the brightness to reach far southeastern parts. Elsewhere
01:34across the UK, and there's a lot of dry and at times sunny weather to be had, still the
01:38risk of a few showers mainly towards northern parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Temperatures
01:43tomorrow again a little bit down compared to today, so mid to high teens across northern
01:48parts, though in the south it's actually going to be a little bit warmer with increasing
01:52amounts of sunshine, it's going to feel quite a bit warmer with temperatures getting to
01:5522 or 23 Celsius. As we look through the rest of the weekend with high pressure dominating
02:01from the west, things are going to turn mostly settled, albeit with the risk of some showery
02:05rain pushing down on that northerly wind. The risk of the rains oins most likely towards
02:10northern and eastern parts of the UK and temperatures are going to drop as well due to that northerly
02:15flow. There's more information on all of this on both the Met Office website, app and
02:19our social media channels.
