Transcript
00:00Hello, I'm Alex Burkill, and this is your latest weather update from the Met Office.
00:06Starting off by taking a look at the bigger picture, and the high pressure that brought
00:10lots of dry weather on Saturday will clear away towards the east, allowing a frontal
00:14system to push in as we go through Sunday and into Monday.
00:19Taking a closer look through Sunday afternoon, and you can see across much of England there
00:23will be some dry and sunny weather for many.
00:26For the west, it's cloudier, with rain spreading across Northern Ireland, parts of Wales, and
00:30later into southern Scotland and northern England.
00:33Temperatures for many will be in the low to mid 20s Celsius.
00:37Later on Sunday, there is going to be further rain, heaviest across northern parts of England,
00:42but also wet across parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, staying dry towards the
00:46south and south east of England, and here some mist and fog patches are likely.
00:51Temperatures for most will hold up in the mid to teens Celsius.
00:54Monday will get off to a bit of a damp, wet start across many northern parts of the UK,
00:59though it will turn brighter across the far north, albeit with a few showers and some
01:03strong winds too.
01:05Rain will continue across northern parts of England and Wales, heavy at times, whilst
01:08in the south east it will stay drier, albeit with a few passing showers, and here temperatures
01:13should get into the mid, perhaps high 20s Celsius.
