00:00Hello, I'm Alex Burkill and this is your latest weather update from the Met Office.
00:05Whilst there will be plenty of dry weather to come this week, there is a lot of rain
00:08around for many as we go through Sunday night. The rain will be heaviest across parts of
00:12North Wales and North West England where a weather warning is in force, but it's also
00:16looking wet across other northern parts. Further south and east it's going to stay drier,
00:20and here we could see some mist and fog patches, temperatures for many holding up in the mid
00:24teens celsius. Monday then will get off to a bit of a wet
00:28start for many northern parts. The rain will gradually break up and ease, though some heavier
00:33bursts still likely, particularly across parts of North Wales and North West England. In
00:37the far north it will turn brighter, albeit still windy, with some showers, and further
00:41south it's going to be largely dry, and here temperatures could get to the mid or even
00:44high 20 celsius. As we go through the end of the day on Monday,
00:48there is going to continue to be some spells of rain, particularly across the central slice
00:52of the UK, but the rain should gradually clear away.
00:56Looking ahead through the rest of the week, and with high pressure building from the west,
01:00things are set to turn more settled, however there is the potential for a spell of heavy
01:04rain across the far south as we go through Tuesday into Wednesday. There's more information
01:08on the full forecast wherever you are on both the Met Office website, app, and of course
01:13all of our social media channels.
