00:00Channel Red Novel, Chapter 46, Anger The corridor was silent, until one of the girls started
00:17screaming since Steven continued to lie on the floor unconsciously.
00:21He killed him.
00:23Gary just killed somebody.
00:25Tiffany screamed.
00:27Although it was unheard of that a scrawny high schooler would have the strength to kill
00:31someone with one hit, Gary was far from being an ordinary high schooler.
00:36In his rage, he had struck Steven without holding back.
00:40Tom ran past the gathering crowd and checked out the situation.
00:45His best friend was still in disbelief about what he had just done.
00:49Gary just stood there, looking from the hand that had slammed Steven into the wall to the
00:53body to his feet.
00:55Meanwhile, Tom had noticed the specks of red that started to run down the karateka's head.
01:01Examining the carotid artery, he let out a sigh of relief when he felt a pulse.
01:06Gary, snap out of it.
01:09He's okay but we need to get him to the nurse ASAP.
01:13I mean he's not okay, but at least he's alive, now help me carry him.
01:18Tom called out to his friend, and quickly Gary went to the other side lifting him off
01:22the ground as the two walked to the nurse's office.
01:26The crowd just watched them with their mouths wide open, none of them knew what they were
01:30supposed to do.
01:32Should they go and help the duo?
01:34Should they call a teacher?
01:36Perhaps an ambulance?
01:38In the end the thing those high schoolers chose, was to spread the news about this event
01:43to those who had missed it.
01:45Tom and Gary were lucky enough that no teacher was in the hallways, but they encountered
01:49someone else.
01:51Exine had just come from the toilet and was surprised to see three faces she recognized.
01:57What happened to him?
01:59Exine asked when she saw the way Steven was carried by the two.
02:03Gary would have loved to explain himself to her, but he honestly didn't know how.
02:08The truth was, he had just bashed the skull of his schoolmate in.
02:12Sure, Steven had provoked him, but even Gary saw that he had vastly overreacted.
02:19As such, the duo just walked past, leaving Exine to listen to the rumors that had already
02:24begun to spread.
02:26He slammed him into the wall with just one hand.
02:30Casper told me that Josh, who was there, even heard the poor guy's skull crack.
02:35Steven might never be able to be the same again.
02:38Does anyone know what he told that broccoli head to piss him off to that degree?
02:43I don't know, I heard the name Exine get mentioned.
02:47Hearing this, Exine felt a bit guilty.
02:50Had she somehow ended up being the cause of this mess?
02:54Were those stupid boys seriously fighting over me?
02:57Eventually, Tom and Gary brought Steven over to the nurse's office.
03:03After briefly checking his vitals, the nurse immediately decided that this was something
03:07above her pay grade, so she called an ambulance.
03:10The high schooler was breathing and she did what she could to keep him in a stable condition,
03:15but for some reason he wasn't responding nor did he show any signs of regaining consciousness.
03:21When asked what had happened, Gary mumbled he had been hit in the head, but there wasn't
03:25much details after that.
03:27The nurse had agreed to let them stay and miss the morning lessons, believing that the
03:31three of them were friends.
03:33It didn't take too long for the ambulance to arrive at school.
03:38After getting a brief account on what had happened they took Steven away, leaving Tom
03:42and Gary behind.
03:44Once her patient was out, the nurse left to go and make a report.
03:48What, what happened there, bro?
03:51Tom eventually asked, after making sure the nurse wouldn't come back because she might
03:56have forgotten something.
03:57I, I don't know.
04:00Suddenly all this anger, this rage just came over me.
04:04The moment he mentioned Amy, images of him hurting my family came flooding into my head.
04:09All my senses were telling me that I needed to do everything I could to stop him.
04:14Before I even realized what I did, I saw him on the floor.
04:19Gary tried to explain as best he could.
04:22Nevertheless, he didn't tell Tom everything.
04:25If he was honest, he had actually wanted to hurt Steven more.
04:29The only reason he had stopped was because panic had begun to set at the sight of the
04:33motionless teenager.
04:35His rational side returned, stopping him from further worsening the situation.
04:40Tom didn't ask him any more questions after that, however he was very glad that he had
04:45decided to keep the truth about what had really happened to him on Friday hidden from his
04:49best friend.
04:51If Gary could get this crazy at the mere thought of someone hurting those close to him, the
04:55two of them would have most likely ended in a morgue rather than the hospital.
04:59Eventually, the two of them headed to their class.
05:03All eyes quickly turned to the two who had entered the room.
05:07Gary, you are finally here.
05:10There's no need for you to sit down, Headmistress Young wants to see you in her office.
05:15I'm sure you know why.
05:18Mrs. Bedford said, after briefly looking at who had disturbed her class.
05:23It didn't go unnoticed and for some reason, Gary felt pissed off at being ignored like
05:27that.
05:28Fortunately, his rational side was still in charge, so the high schooler just started
05:33walking to the principal's room, leaving Tom to sit down in class.
05:38What is wrong with me?
05:40How come everything is getting on my nerves today?
05:43Are people just arseholes today, or am I being super sensitive?
05:47Gary wondered, worried that this might be the effect of the the bloodlust his system
05:51kept mentioning.
05:53Above the double door, a plaque read Headmistress Young.
05:57He knocked at the door and soon a, come in, sounded from the other side.
06:02This was the first time he had been called in.
06:04Cautiously, Gary opened the door and entered the large office that was big enough to fit
06:09even a sofa and coffee machine inside.
06:13I would love to say that it's good to see you, Mr. Dem, but you should already be aware
06:17why you're here.
06:19Ironically, Mrs. Young's family name didn't match her outer appearance.
06:24She was an older woman with mostly gray hair.
06:27The light in her eyes showed that she was actually younger than she looked and that
06:31the graying of her hair was mostly due to the stress that came with her position.
06:36We have already gathered the testimony of the students who saw this morning's event
06:39unfold and a few minutes ago, the hospital sent me a report about Mr. Rickardson's condition.
06:45You might be elated to know that your schoolmate is awake and is doing relatively fine.
06:51There are no injuries other than some bruising on the outside of his head and a bump.
06:56Luckily after some rest he should be good as new.
06:59Unfortunately, this doesn't change the fact that his mother is out for blood.
07:04She wants something done and I'm in no position to deny her request.
07:09We can't exactly allow you to get away scot-free after doing what you did.
07:13Fortunately, you were never really a troublesome student.
07:17While I personally don't understand why a young man like you would choose to dye his
07:21hair in that horrible color, it doesn't violate school regulations.
07:26It's also your first offense, so I would have usually just let you off with a warning,
07:30but due to how severe this case is, I'm afraid I can't do that.
07:35Honestly, Gary had expected to be shouted at the moment he came in.
07:39He had been prepared to get a good lecture about how dangerous and wrong his actions
07:43had been and how easily he could have ruined Stevens and his own future.
07:48The way Headmistress Young had chosen to talk with him as her equal had made it so he didn't
07:52find her annoying, yet the tone in her voice made him fear for the worst about what was
07:56going to happen next.
07:58I expect you to write an apology letter to the Richardson's family, about how deeply
08:03you regret your actions.
08:05Now I don't care if you really do or not, but for your own sake you should make sure
08:09that it at least sounds sincere enough so that Mrs. Richardson won't pursue any legal
08:14actions against you.
08:16Apart from that, effective immediately, you're excluded from school for the rest of the week.
08:23Gary repeated, standing up from his seat.
08:27You mean, I won't be allowed to come to school for an entire week?
08:31Thanks for watching and subscribe my channel Channel Red Novel, Chapter 47, Follow the
08:36Mist Most teenagers disliked going to school and only did so because their parents told
08:40them to.
08:42Every holiday was a joy since it meant one day of not having to go to that dreaded place,
08:47so the concept of, punishing, someone by making them not go to school, had always seemed rather
08:52bizarre.
08:53For a troublemaker, being excluded essentially meant they got a free week to do whatever
08:58they wished.
08:59However, now that Gary was suddenly faced with that situation, he began to realize the
09:04real horror of it.
09:06What the hell do I tell mom?
09:09Their high school had a relatively good reputation in SLU.
09:13Getting suspended for a week was rather unheard of.
09:17In fact, any more than that and it would have meant expulsion.
09:21Was this Mrs. Young's way of telling him how close he had come to being, expelled?
09:26Suddenly, Gary started to consider the consequences about what would happen if that had happened.
09:32He would have to change schools, probably forcing his family to move apartments to another
09:36area.
09:38It might mean his mother would have to find new jobs.
09:41Essentially, it would ruin the lives of the entire Dem family.
09:46On top of that, with nothing to do but to stay at home on his own, he was worried that
09:50he might go mad, or worse, do something extremely stupid like go out and look for Billy.
09:57As someone who's now excluded, you won't participate in any more lessons.
10:02For the time being, you're to stay here.
10:05Feel free to start on that apology letter and I will have my secretary bring you some
10:09other school work later.
10:11Headmistress Young explained.
10:13Honestly, I would have just sent you home immediately, but there is a reason why I'm
10:17keeping you here.
10:19By now the whole school is aware about what has occurred, including the teachers.
10:25One teacher in particular has strongly insisted for you to be let off.
10:29Gary was baffled to hear this.
10:32He wasn't particularly friendly with any of his teachers, nor did he excel at any subjects.
10:38His relationship with his homeroom teacher wasn't out of the ordinary either, so it was
10:42hard to pinpoint who exactly it could be.
10:46Never would have I thought there would come a day I would see Mr. Root begging me to not
10:49expel a student like you.
10:52Unlike what your stature suggests, he claims that you're a very gifted rugby player, one
10:56he simply can't do without.
10:59Mr. Root would have been the last person Gary would have suspected, even if he had been
11:03doing better in their training matches, was it really to the point where they needed him
11:07this much?
11:08I have therefore agreed to make a special exception for you.
11:12Despite being excluded, you're allowed to attend the club lesson after school for the
11:17whole week, and that will include today.
11:20I will look forward to your performance on the weekend.
11:23For some reason, Gary felt quite happy with the news.
11:27At the moment, playing rugby really was the only distraction he had left.
11:32Given his performance, he was very excited to test himself in their first official game.
11:37After giving him the sheets of work he needed to go through Mrs. Young stayed in the room
11:41doing her own work.
11:43Mom should be at her first job, so I doubt she already knows.
11:48Mrs. Young's secretary will probably notify mom via a letter, so all I gotta do is get
11:53to it before she does.
11:56I sorta got a week off, maybe I can use this to my advantage.
12:00It gives me more time to figure things out.
12:04Class had continued without Gary, yet Tom was constantly looking over at his friend's
12:08empty seat.
12:09He was worried for him in more ways than one.
12:13When Mrs. Bedford's class was over, Gary still hadn't returned, which told Tom that
12:18his best friend must be in some serious trouble.
12:21Tom had tried texting Gary during the breaks and at lunch, but he hadn't answered yet.
12:27Eventually, it was time for rugby practice.
12:31During his walk to the changing room, he encountered two large figures.
12:35Immediately, Tom put his head down hoping to avoid eye contact, yet it did nothing.
12:41A few moments later, two heavy arms were over his shoulders.
12:45Hey Tom, old buddy.
12:48Why don't we have a talk before heading to practice today?
12:52Gil suggested with a smile as he started to push the smaller boy in a certain direction.
12:58Tom wanted to walk forward, but both of them had gripped him tightly.
13:02They were practically forcing him to come with them as they dragged him, lifting him
13:06slightly off the ground all the way to the closest toilets.
13:10As soon as they entered, they shouted to see if anyone else was inside.
13:15Once it was clear that it was just the three of them, they locked the door behind them.
13:19So, me and Barry went to check out the roster this afternoon and for some reason Gary's
13:24name was still there.
13:26Why is that?
13:28Gil asked, shoving Tom's small body to the floor.
13:32I didn't get the chance to talk to him yet.
13:35You must have heard what happened this morning.
13:38Tom tried to explain, quickly checking the room for any way to escape his captors.
13:44Grab him.
13:45Gil ordered and Barry picked him off the ground holding his hands up so he couldn't use them
13:49to defend himself.
13:51The next second and a large slap from Gil's hand went right across Tom's face.
13:57His cheek turned bright red and he could taste iron, as the inside of his mouth had smashed
14:01against his teeth.
14:03You could have texted him, or talked to him over the weekend.
14:07Aren't you guys close?
14:08No, it looks to me like you didn't take what we told you seriously.
14:13Gil then grabbed Tom by the back of his head, shoving him into one of the toilet stalls.
14:19School toilets, although they were being cleaned regularly and this one hadn't been used today,
14:24weren't exactly the most clean places.
14:26Hey Gil, don't you think this is taking things a bit too far?
14:31Barry asked, but Gil didn't seem to be listening.
14:35The next moment, he shoved Tom's head into the toilet for a few seconds, pushing him
14:40down watching him wiggle and struggle.
14:42While doing this a smile appeared on his face.
14:46The feeling of having total control of another human life was exhilarating.
14:50Why?
14:52Why are they doing this to me?
14:54What did I ever do to you?
14:57Tom thought as he was cursing at his life.
14:59I didn't even tell him what you guys did to me, because I'm trying to protect your sorry
15:03miserable lives.
15:05Lifting his head out of the water, Tom gasped for air.
15:09He couldn't even say anything because all he was doing was trying to breathe.
15:14This isn't enough.
15:16Gil declared after dunking him a couple of times.
15:19Barry realized that his friend had lost it, yet it seemed too late to stop him and worse
15:24of all now he was a part of whatever was about to happen.
15:28Out on the field, Gary had joined the club practice.
15:32He noticed that Tom wasn't out yet, but judging by the green mist he could see that he was
15:36still somewhere in school.
15:38Tom didn't care for rugby in the first place, so it didn't matter if he was on time to not
15:43and it didn't seem like the teacher did either.
15:46Which was why Gary thought it wasn't so strange.
15:50Before the lesson started, Mr. Root had pulled Gary to the side.
15:54Listen here, Broccoli Head, I don't know what exactly made you do what you did this morning,
15:59but let me tell you this.
16:01I'm used to dealing with kids who have anger problems and who have an aggressive nature.
16:06You didn't really seem the type, but you have proven me wrong more than once already.
16:11The good thing is, there is an easy fix.
16:15Use that pent up anger, frustration whatever is inside you, out on the field.
16:20Use it to run faster from the others, use it to snatch the ball out of their hands,
16:25and use it to tackle them to the ground, because on the field all of that is allowed.
16:30The practice had started, and the words that Mr. Root used had spurted Gary on.
16:35In today's practice he was playing even better than before.
16:39He was sharper as if his eyes were glued to the ball.
16:43It was strange because his technique and play tactics weren't as sharp as someone like Blake,
16:48but he made up for it with his talent.
16:50Eventually, Gil and Barry also arrived on the field.
16:54Naturally, they got a scolding from Mr. Root and after running a few laps, they were allowed
16:59to join in the practice game.
17:02Both of them tried to tackle Gary when he was in possession of the ball but they were
17:05too slow.
17:07Instead a couple of the faster, lighter students managed to get a hold of him.
17:12Still, Gary with his power was able to move forward until he passed on the ball to Blake,
17:17allowing him to score the try that won them the practice game.
17:21Both Blake and Gary were praised as if they had won the World Cup, the two of them had
17:25proven to be an unexpectedly good match as a team.
17:29You too.
17:31Mr. Root said.
17:33If you can repeat what you did today on the weekend, we are going to destroy Eton High.
17:38Gary was enjoying the praise just like he had done on Friday, and his mood felt better
17:42than before, but he noticed something.
17:45Although rugby practice was nearly over, Tom wasn't on the bench, his mist was still in
17:50the school.
17:51Once it was over, Tom never having appeared, instead of heading to the locker room, Gary
17:56decided to head indoors and follow the mist to his location.
18:00I know I'm not meant to go to school, but lessons are over anyway so it won't matter,
18:05right?
18:06Gary thought as he was too concerned for his friend to care even if that wasn't the case.
18:12He was surprised to find the mist leading him to the toilets, especially since they
18:15weren't too far away from the changing rooms.
18:19Standing outside though, Gary was now even more concerned because his nose picked up
18:24a scent he had recently become overly familiar with.
18:27Blood.
18:29He quickly pushed the door open, and followed the mist to one of the stalls.
18:34Opening it, he could see Tom, lying on the ground, his front teeth shattered with blood
18:38spilling out on the toilet seat.
18:41Thanks for watching and subscribe my channel channel Red Know.
18:45Vell, Chapter 48, Don't Fight.
18:49When seeing Tom lying on the floor in the bathroom stall, there was a mix of emotions
18:53that came over Gary.
18:56Most prominently worry about his best friend's condition, followed by anger at whoever had
19:00done this to him, yet there was one feeling he hadn't expected.
19:04Hunger.
19:06The smell of blood coming from Tom's mouth was strong.
19:10While out on the field, Gary hadn't been hungry at all, but suddenly, being confronted with
19:15this tantalizing scent, he felt as if he hadn't really eaten in days, only to stumble
19:19upon a fresh grilled barbecue.
19:22Saliva started to escape his mouth.
19:25Fortunately, Gary's other feelings quickly snapped him out of his daze.
19:30He shook his head to regain his clarity and wiped off the drool.
19:34The high schooler carefully grabbed Tom by his shoulders and put him into an upright
19:38position.
19:40With his face no longer on the floor, Gary started to inspect the other's condition.
19:45From what he could see, one of his front teeth looked to have beaten out, while the one next
19:50to it was slightly chipped.
19:52There was also the wound on his head, but Gary had no idea whether he had any inner
19:57injuries.
19:58Looking in the toilet, the bowl of water had turned red.
20:02Although his best friend's wounds didn't seem fatal he could tell that Tom had been put
20:06through a lot of pain.
20:08He didn't even want to imagine how long he had been tortured like this, since he had
20:12been missing the entire rugby practice.
20:14Tom, are you okay?
20:17Talk to me, please.
20:19What should I do?
20:21Gary asked, despite realizing how dumb the first question was, given the situation.
20:27Having been lifted from the floor and hearing his name being called out, Tom slowly came
20:32to.
20:33He hadn't been knocked out, yet the pain had been too much for him.
20:37The experience of getting tortured had been so tiring, that by the time Barry and Gil
20:41had left, his body had practically shut down to concentrate on healing.
20:46Gee Gary.
20:48Tom weakly whispered, yet the pain was still overwhelming him.
20:52After looking who it was, Tom had closed his eyes again, wanting nothing more than to return
20:57to sleep.
20:59Seeing his best friend still alive, Gary let out a sigh of relief.
21:03He knew that he couldn't just leave him here, since Tom needed medical help.
21:08With no outer wounds, he carefully lifted his friend's buddy off the ground and placed
21:13him on his shoulders while holding him from behind.
21:16The high schooler hoped that it wouldn't worsen his condition, but he started running straight
21:20to the nurse's office.
21:22She was naturally surprised to see him for the second time today.
21:27The nurse wanted to say something to him about this morning's situation, especially since
21:31she had learned the truth of the earlier situation.
21:34However, Gary didn't stop.
21:37He went right past her and gently placed Tom on one of the beds.
21:42Help him.
21:43Gary pleaded with tear-filled eyes.
21:46Seeing how much blood was there, the nurse was worried it was a serious wound and went
21:50to help him straight away.
21:52Once again though, there was only so much she could do, but there was good news.
21:58After giving Tom some painkillers, since his teeth were the area that had suffered
22:02the most damage, there was nothing else.
22:05This wasn't an urgent case, so there was no need for the ambulance to be called, but she
22:10did have to make a report and strongly suggested for Tom to go to the hospital as soon as possible
22:15to get his mouth looked at.
22:17Are you sure that is how you found him, and it wasn't?
22:21It wasn't me.
22:23Gary replied aggressively, realizing what she was implying.
22:27I admit that Stephen was me, but this time I'm innocent.
22:31Mr. Root and the other students can testify that I was at rugby practice the whole time.
22:37After that I went to the toilet because I had to and that's where I found him.
22:41The nurse still gave him a questionable look, but she had to leave.
22:45Not only was school over, but now she had to inform someone of what had happened leaving
22:50Gary and Tom alone once again.
22:53Nevertheless, she was inclined to believe Gary was telling the truth this time.
22:58Not only because he claimed to have witnesses this time who can prove his innocence, but
23:02more so because he had genuinely been concerned for Tom, and had even been tearing up when
23:07they came through the door.
23:09Gary had decided to stay by Tom's side until he eventually woke up again.
23:14This time due to the painkillers, he wasn't in as much pain as he was before, allowing
23:18him to stay awake for longer.
23:21However, before Tom could even say anything, Gary was there with his own question.
23:27Who did this to you?
23:29Gary asked.
23:30Why did they do this?
23:32Tom could see it, that look was in his best friend's eyes again.
23:37Gary, please, just, just forget about it.
23:41Forget about it.
23:42Forget about it.
23:44After they did all of this to you.
23:46Do you realize that it was lucky that I even found you?
23:50If you let people like that get away without any consequences then what will happen?
23:55Next time, you might not get so lucky.
23:58What if they do worse things to you?
24:01Whatever they did to you, I'll make sure they experience the same pain as you did.
24:06Gary claimed, holding onto the side of the bed frame that was made of metal squeezing
24:11tightly.
24:12With Tom not answering, Gary soon let go of the handle to pace up and down, hoping to
24:17calm down, and looking at the metal handle by the side of his bed he could see that it
24:22had bent slightly.
24:23I can't, I can't tell Gary who did this, otherwise, those guys.
24:28Gary, I'm not denying that you have a point, but think about your circumstances.
24:34The whole school knows what happened to you after Steven.
24:38You've been excluded.
24:39If you do anything of that sort again, then that means you will be expelled straight away,
24:44no matter how small your transgression is.
24:47I know your family situation.
24:50Have you thought about what happens with Amy and your mother, if that happens?
24:54I appreciate the gesture, but do you really want to do this to them?
24:59Listening to what Tom was saying, it brought the anger out of Gary slightly, as the images
25:03of his family appeared in his head.
25:06In the first place everything he was doing was for them.
25:09He wanted to get revenge for Tom and he wanted to help him out but he did realize that his
25:14best friend was protecting him in his own way, by not telling him who these people were,
25:18even though he already had a slight suspicion.
25:21Aside from Tom, there had only been two other students who hadn't been there the whole time.
25:27Gary was about to leave it there, but then he remembered that Tom had arrived at the
25:31library with a black eye.
25:33Putting these two incidents together, this wasn't the first time he had been hurt.
25:38Do you think they won't attack you again?
25:40Gary asked.
25:42Tom gulped, because he wasn't sure of the answer himself.
25:46He had expected to be bullied a bit, because of Gary, but something was clearly wrong with Gil.
25:52He seemed to have really enjoyed the power he had had over Tom, rather than doing it
25:57for his own teammate's sake.
25:59It was then that Tom had heard the door to the nurse's office shut, since Gary had already left.
26:05However, Gary hadn't left without anything in his hand.
26:09When the nurse had taken a look at Tom, she had taken his bloody shirt off and changed
26:14it for a set of clean robes.
26:16Right now Gary had it in his hand.
26:19Tom was bleeding a lot, so whoever hurt him, their scent should also be here.

26:26Channel Red Novel, Chapter 49, Grey Elephants
26:30As someone who was a normal teenager up until last week, becoming a werewolf and acting
26:35like that didn't come naturally to Gary.
26:38Unfortunately, his system didn't help him in any meaningful way to find the culprits.
26:43While it was easy enough to follow the mist of those he had marked, it was a different
26:47story when he had to try and pick up a scent from the bloody mess that was Tom's shirt.
26:52He would take a few steps and every so often he would take another sniff of the shirt.
26:58Being in a school that had a few hundred students didn't make his task any easier either.
27:03It's somehow easier to focus when I close my eyes, there, I think it should be in that
27:08direction.
27:09Gary opened his eyes and soon found himself outside on the field.
27:14It hadn't been too long since rugby practice had finished, so the scents of his teammates
27:18were still fresh.
27:20Surprisingly, he noticed that the scent that he had picked up had split in different directions.
27:26I'm sure of it, there really was more than one person behind it.
27:31So much for giving them the benefit of the doubt.
27:34Here I even had some sympathy for that stupid bastard.
27:38Two members had arrived late for rugby practice.
27:42Everything was starting to fall into place.
27:45Gary took a big sniff and now he was sure of it.
27:48One of the scents was in the same direction as the strange red mist he could see that
27:52led him to Barry.
27:54Why the hell did they attack Tom?
27:57Gary tensed his fist so hard that it felt like his veins were going to pop from his
28:01hands.
28:02Is it really just because they don't want me to be on the team?
28:06They couldn't go for me, so they went for Tom.
28:09What bull crap is that?
28:11Gary swung out his hand hitting the school wall.
28:14Usually, a swing so fast and so hard would have shattered someone's wrist but not Gary.
28:20At the moment he didn't feel any pain.
28:23Fortunately, the high schooler hadn't directly aimed for the wall, otherwise he might have
28:28left his fist print.
28:30Looking at the mist, it told him that Barry was still in school for whatever reason.
28:35Since he had been marked, Gary didn't worry about losing him.
28:39No, he was far more interested in Gil.
28:43His scent had left the school grounds.
28:46The words of Tom still rang through his head, that if he was to do anything, then he would
28:50be expelled especially after the incident today.
28:54Whatever I do outside of school shouldn't be a problem as long as nobody recognizes
28:58me.
28:59Lifting up his hood Gary started to walk out of school.
29:03He always walked around in a hoodie, so he could cover up his hair and face.
29:08He used to do that as a transporter, but now it proved useful to avoid members of the underdogs,
29:13though today it would have a different use.
29:16Tom's shirt had been placed in his bag, and whenever he lost Gil's scent among the myriad
29:21of others, he would take another sniff to catch it.
29:24Once he entered more problematic areas, the number of scents decreased sharply.
29:29On his way, he also did his routine stop at the convenience store eating some meat, restoring
29:35his energy from his rugby match just in case he needed it.
29:39To thirty slash four sixty experts, Skill activated Charging Heart, all stats have temporarily
29:45been doubled, dash ten energy points, running through the streets, Gary had started to hurry
29:50tracking down the scent, afraid that perhaps Gil might reach home soon.
29:55Eventually, he noticed that he had entered a certain area in SLU.
30:00Doesn't this area belong to the Gray Elephant Gang?
30:03They are the second biggest gang after the underdogs and also the ones controlling the
30:07Gray Color Gang.
30:09Gary thought to himself, but it still wasn't completely dark out.
30:13The sun was just starting to set so the gangs usually wouldn't bother others anyway, not
30:18that Gary was particularly worried if they chose to attack him.
30:22Following Gil's scent Gary moved away from the residential area and followed him to the
30:26industrial one, arriving in front of abandoned warehouses.
30:30He had never been here, but he recognized that such a location practically screamed
30:35gang hang out.
30:37The high schooler had to be extra cautious, fighting off a group and an entire gang were
30:41two completely different things.
30:44Having tracked the scent to one warehouse in particular he could now see that there
30:48were members wearing pieces of gray clothing on the outside.
30:52He could hear some cheering all the way from his location.
30:55He sneaked around the outside until found a pipe that led to the roof.
31:00Gary wasn't the best climber, but he had been practicing and with Charging Heart still active,
31:05jumping up and grabbing onto the pipe proved to be easy.
31:09Using his hands and legs he soon found himself on the metallic roof.
31:13The high schooler was careful with his footsteps since it would make quite a bit of noise,
31:18but luckily there were also plenty of seagulls on the roof.
31:22Whenever they would move, they would make the roof clang regardless of how quiet he
31:26was, and it seemed like whatever was happening inside they were far too preoccupied with
31:31what was happening.
31:33Finding a hole in the roof Gary was happy to see that it allowed him to watch what was
31:36happening underneath.
31:39His enhanced hearing also allowed him to hear what they were saying.
31:43Not bad, kid.
31:45A male voice praised someone.
31:48Your skill, your strength, and most of all your ruthlessness are the real deal.
31:53You're perfect.
31:55There's just one last thing for you to do before we let you in our gang.
31:59One person stood there, bloody and battered, yet he was in a far better condition than
32:03the other guy around his feet.
32:06Gary had only heard about it, but he assumed that he had just walked in on the grey color
32:10gang having held something akin to an audition.
32:13There were a couple of ways to join a color gang, but the most direct one was the scene
32:18Gary had just stumbled upon.
32:21Those willing to join could challenge already active members and if they proved themselves,
32:25the color gang would usually offer to recruit them.
32:29Besides him, he was the one that hurt Tom.
32:32Gary could still smell Tom's blood on his clothes, even though it was now mixed in with
32:37the other persons on the ground.
32:39You will join us on our rounds today.
32:42After that we'll discuss your payment and more.
32:45I have hope for you.
32:47If you do well and rise up, then you might even be accepted into the grey elephants.
32:53Gary would love nothing more than to jump down and pay back Gil, but his rational side
32:57was still present.
32:59His first instinct was nothing but suicidal.
33:03There were around thirty members inside, and the person that Gil was speaking to seemed
33:07to be their leader.
33:09No leader of any gang would be an easy person to deal with, especially belonging to the
33:13color gang underneath the grey elephants.
33:17He could continue to follow Gil and his scent but from the sounds of it, the leader himself
33:21might be the one to show Gil the ropes.
33:24There was no guarantee that Gary would get a chance to get his revenge today and there
33:28was also another problem.
33:31He still needed to hurry home to intercept the letter about his exclusion from school.
33:36His mother should be working late tonight, so he should still have some time it was then
33:40that the system answered his prayers, solving his issue once again.
33:44You have successfully tracked down a target using your keen nose.
33:49You are acting more like a werewolf and less than a human by the day.
33:53Red lust has been detected, would you like to activate a forced bond?
33:58Last time he had marked Barry by accident, though he had been holding him by the wrist.
34:03Now it appeared as if physical touch wasn't a necessary requirement.
34:08Now that he thought about it, Gary realized that back when he had defeated the color gang
34:12members, the system had also offered him to activate a forced bond, even though he hadn't
34:17touched them.
34:18At the time, he had declined, but now that Gary saw the message with his emotions running
34:23high, he didn't hesitate.
34:26Yes.
34:28Forced bond has been activated, March 5 marks have been assigned, thanks for watching and
34:33subscribe my channel channel Red Novel, Chapter 50, The letter Gary hadn't been considering
34:38the consequences of marking Gil.
34:41He wasn't sure what would happen when the full moon came out, and quite frankly, he
34:45didn't care at the moment.
34:48Now that he had made sure that he would always be able to find Gil, it was time for him to
34:52head home.
34:53As he left the area, he could see that the marking worked as intended.
34:58A visible red mist trail could be seen in the air leading to him.
35:02Now he had two markings, one for Barry and one for Gil, but the way Gary was able to
35:07tell the difference between the two of them was due to the different scent each mist would
35:11give.
35:12Quickly, using a charging heart for the second time, Gary rushed back skipping his daily
35:17gym workout and headed to his apartment block.
35:21While doing so, the images of Tom were appearing through his head.
35:25Those guys, why, why, why would they hurt him that badly?
35:30Gary ran faster and faster, leaping over trash cans in the middle of the street, without
35:35slowing down.
35:37Tom, why didn't you say anything?
35:40With how late they were, they must have been torturing you all that while.
35:44How could you protect that scum?
35:46The smile on Gil's face, that was not the face of a human, he's a monster worse than
35:51me.
35:53He will just come back to hurt you again and again, so I need to make sure he doesn't get
35:57the chance.
35:58The good news was that the running had quenched Gary's anger a little and he had made it back
36:02to his apartment far quicker than he had anticipated, even with his newfound powers.
36:08Opening the door, he quickly looked down to search for the letter that his school surely
36:12must have already sent out.
36:14However, it wasn't there.
36:17More accurately speaking, there was nothing there.
36:20Usually, there would at least be spam letters advertising something, if not overdue bills
36:25that piled up.
36:27Unfortunately, someone appeared to have already collected all this.
36:32Are you looking for this?
36:34Amy asked, holding up a letter in her hand, while standing in the kitchen.
36:39The rest of the missing letters were also on the countertop.
36:42Amy.
36:44Gary rushed over and was far quicker than she had expected, the letter was quickly snatched
36:49from her hand, before she had any chance to hide it behind her back.
36:53Just as he had expected, the letter was to inform his mother that Gary had been excluded
36:58for a week for getting into a fight to the point of sending a schoolmate into the hospital.
37:03Hey, you know I'm still going to tell mom.
37:06Amy said, pouting.
37:09Ever since you came back with your green hair, I was worried that one day you would do something
37:13stupid, but this?
37:15Seriously, I know that you like watching those altered fights, but you've never gotten in
37:20a fight before.
37:22What was it even about that you sent the other guy into the hospital?
37:26A girl, or a boy, or maybe just some stupid boy stuff.
37:30Amy couldn't stop asking her older brother questions driven by a mix of worry and curiosity.
37:36There's no way I can tell Amy that I got into a fight because he threatened to date her.
37:41That would just be too, too embarrassing.
37:45Gary's face was going red just at the thought of it.
37:48Still, he needed to figure out a way to stop Amy from telling their mother, otherwise not
37:53only would he get an earful and worry her to death, she probably wouldn't let him freely
37:57leave the house anymore either.
38:00He would be grounded and he just couldn't afford that in his current situation.
38:04Why did you even open the letter in the first place, it's not even addressed to you.
38:09Gary tried to change the subject, clearly annoyed that his sister wouldn't back down.
38:15Because I saw your school logo on it.
38:18Schools only send letters home if it's good news or bad news, and come on.
38:23With your head, what the hell kind of good news would there be?
38:27If it was something I wasn't meant to see I planned to just close the letter and place
38:31it back in as if I never opened it.
38:34Amy smugly replied, aware that she had the moral high ground on this one.
38:39Being no way out of the situation, there was really only one thing Gary could do.
38:44Please, I beg you, just don't tell mom.
38:48You should know how much she would worry.
38:51It's just a week, I will manage to somehow keep it hidden from her.
38:55Gary pleaded.
38:56I promise to make it worth your while.
39:00Unexpectedly, his little sister held out her hand, turning her head away.
39:05Fine, but you owe me.
39:08If you want me to keep it a secret then it's going to cost you.
39:11A few seconds later, she felt something in her hand.
39:15Opening her eyes, she saw a 50 note in her hand.
39:19For a moment, Gary could swear that he saw Amy's eyes turn into gold bars.
39:25When his little sister had asked for payment, she hadn't literally meant money.
39:30She had intended to blackmail Gary into taking over her chores for this week.
39:34Either that, or perhaps make him act like her servant or bodyguard next time she visited
39:39Stacy, but this was much better than all of those options.
39:43Where, how do you even have this much money?
39:46Amy asked.
39:48Don't tell me you robbed a guy on top of sending him to the hospital.
39:52The truth was, other than the 500 he had stashed away in their room, Gary had been now down
39:57to the last hundred from the first paycheck he had earned that day fighting against Billy
40:01Buster, and now he had given Amy half of that, just so that she would keep quiet.
40:06Nothing of that sort.
40:09What do you take your brother for?
40:11Gary protested, but Amy pointed to the letter he still held in his hand.
40:16You know, how I've been claiming to visit Tom a lot lately.
40:20Well, the truth is I've been helping out another friend of mine with their family business.
40:25They give me money for helping out.
40:28At the end of each day, I get paid in cash.
40:32I haven't told mom because you know what she's like.
40:35She would just feel bad and tell me to stop.
40:39Saying it's an adult's job to take care of their family, but, you know, I'm also part
40:43of this family.
40:45Hearing this, Amy felt a little bad for taking the money.
40:49Gary had worked hard for this money, and he had done so for the sake of everyone.
40:53Arg, here take it back.
40:57Amy said, shoving it back in Gary's hand.
41:00After you tell me all that, what kind of person would I be to take it?
41:04You think about others too much.
41:07She sighed, making her way back to her room.
41:10Wait, are you going to tell, mom?
41:14Gary called out after her.
41:15No, just do what you want.
41:18Amy turned around and smiled.
41:21Although her brother wasn't the brightest, he really was the best brother she had.
41:26I'll try to think of a way for mom to accept the money, if you have more of it.
41:30Now, knowing that his sister wouldn't reveal the situation, Gary went out with the letter,
41:35destroying it on his way out.
41:38Wait, it's already this late.
41:41Are you going to your work again?
41:43Amy asked, worriedly.
41:45Nope, I need to return something to someone.
41:49Gary replied and shut the door.
41:52It was time for him to hunt.
41:54Thanks for watching and subscribe my channel.
