00:00It's very exciting. We've got a team of about 20 probably just over to go to Royal
00:16Ascot, and it's by far the most that we've had so far. They're all in good shape, worked
00:21nicely this morning, and most of them come out of it in good shape. So we go there with
00:26a few nice chances, and just dotting the I's and crossing the T's now and trying to get
00:31them all there in one piece.
00:32Yeah, he's good. I haven't worked with a horse that has the constitution of him so far. He's
00:41just worked nicely with William Buick on there, and we're always delighted with him, and he
00:45just doesn't sweat. Nothing seems to phase him, and I think it's a huge attribute for
00:50Ascot. He can be a good horse elsewhere and not have to quite go through mentally what
00:57they have to go through there. It's coming into the big occasion, and I think he'll handle
01:01it very well. So he needs fast ground, though. His work is much better on quicker ground,
01:07and I didn't expect to see what we saw on debut, but he's started working better on
01:11faster ground at home. It's been wet through the spring, and we started galloping him,
01:15so he's in super shape.
01:20He was meant to go to the sandy lane, and we just weren't happy with the ground, really,
01:28for him that day, and he needs very fast ground. I don't think we'll see the same horse, Ascot,
01:33if we do get the rain. He'll probably take his chance, but his work on fast ground is
01:39a lot better. He worked good this morning. There was a bit of ease in the ground on water
01:43gallop, but yeah, he's in good shape. I couldn't be happier with him. He's doing one more piece
01:48of work, and he runs on the Fridays, so we've got plenty of time, but yeah, he's in good
01:52shape.
01:53This is a Starr Spangled Banner filly called Soprano, who goes to the Albany. William Bewitt
02:01will ride as well. She won at Newmarket on Craven meeting. She looked good. She's certainly
02:08not a five furlong horse. When she steps up in trip, we'll see a better filly. She goes
02:13to the Albany six furlongs. The Hilary Needler winner was behind her the other day. The form
02:20looks pretty good, so I couldn't be happier with her work. She goes there in great shape.
02:24It's the international stage, I think. I think we're trying to find horses to run around
02:28the world. Everyone's there, and it really is the be-all to end-all for us at this time
02:34of the year. Obviously, the better two-year-old races happen towards the end of the year,
02:38but at the moment, it's what everyone's gearing up to. It's the feature event, so we're looking
02:45forward to a winner anywhere. We've got a nice team of horses, and if we could find
02:52one to persuade into the winner's circle, we'd be absolutely elated. Everyone's working
02:57hard at home to get them there in one piece, and that's the big step. Then we've got to
03:02get the draws, and the ground, and the trip, and the luck in running. There's a lot of
03:06cogs in the wheel, so it's an exciting time.
