00:00Hello. Well, after a largely unsettled end to the weekend, it will be turning brighter
00:05through Monday with sunny spells and scattered showers. We may see some early evening sunshine
00:10towards the southwest this evening, but cloud and rain will continue to move its way north
00:15and eastwards into northern England, but more so across Scotland to start Monday morning.
00:21Behind that, drier with plenty of clear skies, but we will see a few showers moving in from
00:27the south and west that could still be heavy at times. We may even see some mist and fog
00:33patches developing underneath the clear skies, but otherwise temperatures will generally
00:37be holding up in the double figures at around 10 or 11 degrees. So it's going to be a damp
00:43start on Monday across much of Scotland with outbreaks of rain that will gradually move
00:48its way northwards. And then for the rest of the UK, it is a case of sunny spells, scattered
00:53showers. We'll see some longer spells of rain for a time across the northwestern parts
00:58of England, but further towards the south, that's where we'll see more in the way of
01:02showers that could turn heavy and possibly thundery too. We also have a cluster of showers
01:08coming in to the far southwest to end the day as well, and this could give some difficult
01:13driving conditions. But otherwise, temperatures reaching up to 17, possibly 18 degrees in
01:20the south, but towards the north across Orkney and Shetland underneath the persistent cloud
01:24of rain feeling cooler here with an easterly breeze as well. So through Monday evening,
01:30then we have heavy spells of rain moving their way northwards across the southern parts of
01:34England into Wales, into the Midlands through rush hour. So do take care as there could
01:39be some transport disruption here as that gradually moves its way northwards into Northern
01:44Ireland and northwestern parts of England to touch to start Tuesday morning. Some clear
01:50spells in between may allow for some mist and fog to develop, but already we're seeing
01:54further showers moving towards the southwest by Tuesday morning. Otherwise, it is generally
02:00going to stay quite mild overnight. Again, temperatures ranging from 11 to 12 in the
02:05south, but perhaps just a little bit colder towards the far north. So a messy picture
02:11really to start Tuesday morning with cloud outbreaks of rain across Northern Ireland,
02:15Northern England, moving its way into parts of southern Scotland towards the south and
02:20west. It's a case of sunny spells, scattered showers, some of these again still on the
02:26heavy side. There will be some breaks in between and in any sunshine we'll see highs of up
02:31to 17, possibly 18 degrees, but towards the north feeling slightly cooler and also a bit
02:38of a breeze coming down towards the north. So as we go through the week, then we still
02:44hold on to low pressure Tuesday and Wednesday. But this is ex Hurricane Kirk, and it looks
02:50like it's now going to be tracking towards the south of the UK, more so affecting France.
02:55And as that clears its way through, we'll start to see northerly winds develop. So it
02:59is going to be turning colder as we go into the second half of the week. But we'll still
03:05need to keep an eye on the in the track of ex Hurricane Kirk. So make sure to hit subscribe
03:10so you don't miss any updates on that. And I'll catch you soon. Bye bye for now.
