00:00Hi there, there will be some rain to come at times this week, but for Monday at least
00:05many places will enjoy a dry day and it will feel pleasant enough in any sunny spells that
00:10come through with temperatures above average for the time of year.
00:14Sunshine at its best there across parts of Scotland into north west England, west Midlands
00:19and some cloud breaks developing elsewhere as well, but you'll see a few showers also
00:24forming through the Midlands, central southern England into east Anglia and the south east
00:28by the afternoon.
00:29These will be very much hit and miss, many places will avoid them and where we do get
00:34some sunshine coming through 17 or 18 Celsius is possible, so feeling very pleasant.
00:39However, by the late afternoon you can see cloud building across Northern Ireland, outbreaks
00:45of rain moving in, some heavy bursts as we go into the evening and that rain then pushes
00:49into parts of Scotland, northern England, Wales and the south west by midnight.
00:56The wind picking up, gales for exposed parts of north west Scotland during the early hours
01:01and the rain does tend to cross the country but it tends to fizzle out by dawn and so
01:07not much of it really reaching east Anglia and the south east, although with the cloud
01:11and the breeze of course it's going to stay relatively mild overnight, temperatures staying
01:14up in the double figures in many spots.
01:18We start off Tuesday with a lot of cloud, those outbreaks of rain clearing through followed
01:22by some showers into Scotland, western parts of England and Wales and by the afternoon
01:28odd shower could pop up just about anywhere but they will be again fairly scattered, not
01:33everyone will catch one, there will be some decent sunny spells in between the showers
01:37and the showers will tend to fade away by later in the afternoon as well.
01:41So actually second half of the afternoon is not looking too bad at all, again very mild
01:48for the time of year, 15 to 18 Celsius possible.
01:52But there is some rain there heading into the Isles of Scilly, far south west of Cornwall
01:56by the end of the day and that rain then starts to move in across southern and south western
02:02parts through the evening on Tuesday.
02:05Cloud building then ahead of that, some outbreaks of rain also reaching Northern Ireland at
02:09this stage but towards the east and the north actually staying relatively fine.
02:14It's this weather front that is pushing through and that's going to bring a spell of wet weather
02:19across southern and then eventually central parts through Wednesday.
02:23The far north and north west staying clear of that, it then moves away before the far
02:29north and north west are affected by these weather fronts that move in for Thursday bringing
02:34outbreaks of rain and an increase in the wind although higher pressure towards the south
02:39and south west on Thursday will tend to keep things a little drier.
