00:00Hello again, following a damp start in places, the rain now clears but we'll still see further
00:06showers into the afternoon. The brightest weather I think will be across Scotland, fairly
00:12breezy in the far north and feeling cool in that breeze, still a few showers around coasts
00:17but more plentiful showers I think for southern Scotland and northern England, northern Ireland
00:22and a legacy of cloudy skies the further south you are with this trailing front providing
00:28a focus for a line of showers from south west England through the Bristol Channel I
00:33suspect, parts of the Midlands into Lincolnshire for example. Now to the south east of that
00:38line it's still relatively warm, 16 or 17 Celsius. To the north, a cool feel, especially
00:46in the north of Scotland, 9 to 12 Celsius. And looking towards the south west, that trailing
00:52front I mentioned joins up with another system that's developing to the south west of the
00:58UK, this emerging frontal system and area of low pressure which then pushes north eastwards
01:04through the evening and overnight to bring a spell of damp weather for many parts of
01:08the UK, although not for all. You can see there it avoids the far north west and just
01:13about avoids the far south east as well. So it does turn cloudy and damp across south
01:18west England into central southern England, Wales and then later in the evening parts
01:22of the Midlands, northern Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland and you can
01:27see the extent of that rainfall by the end of the night. Some heavier bursts within the
01:32rain but actually mostly it's light to moderate spells of damp weather. Now the north west
01:38of Scotland, we'll see some clear spells and with light winds here and in the cooler airflow
01:44we're going to see perhaps a touch of frost, temperatures heading towards freezing. But
01:49across much of the rest of the UK it's 8s, 9s, even 10 or 11 Celsius with a lot of cloud
01:56cover and areas of rain first thing Wednesday. So for central and southern Scotland, northern
02:02Ireland as well as into northern England, parts of the Midlands and Wales it is a damp
02:06start to Wednesday. Outbreaks of rain turning heavy for a time across parts of west Wales,
02:12perhaps northern England as well seeing some heavier rain at times. But through the morning
02:17the rain does tend to fragment and peter out, turns more showery once again by the afternoon
02:23in many places. But again the focus for the damp weather will remain across the north
02:28and east of England into the Midlands, Wales and parts of the south west. To the south
02:33east plenty of bright spells developing by the afternoon and still relatively warm here,
02:3816 to 18 Celsius, much cooler for Scotland and northern Ireland. Although it does brighten
02:43up by the end of the afternoon, some decent sunny spells for northern Ireland and western
02:48Scotland. It's going to be a fresher day with 9 to 12 Celsius expected, although with
02:53light winds and in the spring sunshine feeling perfectly pleasant. Now the rain eventually
03:00clears into the North Sea, although there will be some bits and pieces left over for
03:04Wednesday evening. A lot of cloud cover for central, eastern and southern UK, but towards
03:09the north west clear spells for a time before this starts to move in for Thursday and this
03:16is a strengthening frontal system, an area of low pressure near Iceland, tightening isobars,
03:21turning wet and windy across Scotland and northern Ireland during Thursday morning,
03:25that rain edging into the north and west of England as well as Wales by the end of the
03:30day. Although the south east once again avoids the wetter weather and it's going to stay
03:34mostly dry here. Further showers to come on Friday and into the weekend, so plenty of
03:40rain to talk about once again over the next few days, but there will also be some drier
03:43and sleuths, especially if you're in the south and south east. Bye bye.
