00:00Hello again, very good evening to you. It is going to turn largely cloudy but also
00:04milder as we go through the end of the week. That's because we have an area of
00:08high pressure to the south of the UK and this high is then dragging in our air
00:12from the southwest which is a mild direction. As well as this though we do
00:17have a weather system across northern parts that's brought a significant amount
00:21of rain already today and will continue to bring some wet and windy weather
00:24through the end of the day across northern parts of Scotland before the
00:27more persistent rain clears away towards the east overnight. Behind it
00:32then increasing amounts of cloud pushing in from the west as we go through the
00:36night. Ahead of that some clearer skies likely across the southeast to start the
00:40night which means we could see a touch of frost at first but as the cloud feeds
00:45in from the west we're going to see our temperatures rising. We're also going to
00:49see some outbreaks of drizzly rain mainly towards western parts perhaps
00:53something a little bit more persistent pushing into the far northwest of
00:56Scotland. Like I said temperatures are rising as we go through the night so by
01:00the time many of us wake up on Friday morning it's going to be pretty mild
01:04some places in double figures by 5 or 6 a.m. As we go through Friday itself then
01:09a cloudy picture for many of us much cloudier than today for most though some
01:14brightness perhaps towards more eastern parts at times. That cloud then is going
01:18to be a little bit low at times could be some dank drizzly conditions outbreaks
01:23of drizzly rain particularly over higher ground towards the west perhaps a few
01:26spots of rain making their way further eastwards. A spell of more persistent
01:30rain then pushes its way southwards across parts of Scotland later into
01:34northern England and Northern Ireland perhaps but then something a little bit
01:38clearer starts to follow in behind could see some sunnier skies developing across
01:43some parts of Scotland with some more showery outbreaks of rain developing as
01:47we go through the afternoon. Like I said we have got milder air pushing its way
01:52in so temperatures are going to rise they're going to be significantly above
01:55average for the time of year we're looking at highs of around 14 or 15
01:59Celsius towards the east that's where it's likely to be warmest but we do
02:03always need to factor in that there are going to be some strong winds we're
02:07talking 50 to 60 mile per hour gusts and exposed spots towards the west and also
02:11some lee gustiness so as those winds bounce over the hills and the mountains
02:15we could have some strong winds in association with that as well so some
02:19blustery weather to watch out for on Friday. Later on Friday we do see a
02:24frontal system brings showery outbreaks of rain initially across Scotland and
02:27Northern Ireland pushing its way southwards overnight so bringing a spell
02:31of perhaps slightly more persistent rain to parts of Wales through the early
02:35hours and a bit more cloud across southern parts as we go through the
02:38night too. Could stay largely dry but a few spots of rain are possible. Further
02:43north and we will see some clearer spells developing also a scattering of
02:47showers but some dry clearer weather for a time. We're also going to have a
02:51bit of a north-south split when it comes to our temperatures as we go through
02:54Friday night. Staying mild in the south most places staying in double figures
02:59but further north a little bit chillier a much chillier start on Saturday morning
03:03here than it will be on Friday morning. We keep with that north-south split as
03:07we go through much of Saturday so quite a cloudy picture across many southern
03:11areas and there will be some outbreaks of rain mainly towards the west some
03:15eastern parts staying mostly dry. Something a bit brighter further north
03:19across northern parts of England, Northern Ireland and Scotland so some
03:23sunny spells at times but also quite a few showers particularly across parts of
03:27Scotland. Some of them could be a little bit heavy and I am expecting a bit of
03:31sleet or snow over the highest ground as well. Still blustery windy so sticking
03:37with those gusts of 50 perhaps even 60 miles per hour in exposed spots that
03:41will add to the chilly feel in the north meanwhile further south it's
03:45staying mild. Temperatures still well into double figures, highs around 13
03:49possibly even 14 Celsius. As we look ahead towards Sunday and the frontal
03:55system that pushes its way southwards into Saturday does then feed back
03:58further northwards so on Sunday it looks like the wettest weather will be across
04:02more northern parts and that's the theme into Monday as well before that feature
04:06then starts to push its way southwards again as we go through Monday. For more
04:10information about the weekend's weather you can check out our video on YouTube
04:14otherwise I'll see you again soon bye bye
