00:00Hello again. As we go through this evening and overnight, I am expecting a few places
00:04to see some mist, some muck and some fog too, but there is still generally an unsettled
00:10theme to the weather as we go through the rest of the week and into the weekend. Low
00:14pressure sitting just to the west of the UK firmly in control, bringing blustery, showery
00:18weather to many parts, but notice we do have a frontal system across the northeast and
00:23it's this that's already brought a significant amount of rain to northeastern parts of the
00:27UK through Thursday and will continue to do so across eastern parts of Scotland in
00:31particular overnight. The cloud across northeastern parts of England likely to lower as we go
00:37through the night, so bringing some murky conditions, perhaps some fog to parts here
00:41and elsewhere where we see any breaks in the cloud, clear spells will allow for some mist
00:45and fog patches to develop as well and these could cause some problems on the roads first
00:50thing Friday morning. Otherwise, plenty of showers around, particularly for western and
00:54southern coastal areas and some of them could be quite heavy. Temperatures, nothing really
00:58to write home about, not a particularly chilly night, some towns and cities holding up in
01:02double figures, but most of them just about dipping into single digits. As we go through
01:07Friday then, it is going to be a bit misty, murky, perhaps even foggy for some of us to
01:12start off with and we will continue to have some heavy, perhaps even persistent rain across
01:16eastern parts of Scotland, could break up a little bit as we go through the day. Otherwise,
01:21plenty of showers around, starting initially around western and southern coasts, but spreading
01:26a bit further inland as we go through the day and they could still be heavy, perhaps
01:30even thundery too, though there should be some bright or sunny spells in between the
01:34showers once any of that mist and fog clears away. Temperatures near normal for the time
01:39of year, getting to highs around 15 celsius in the south, cooler than this though further
01:43north, just about getting into double figures. As we go through the end of the day on Friday,
01:49continuing with more rain across eastern parts of Scotland and that continues through
01:52the whole weekend as well, which is why we have a warning here. Otherwise, more showers
01:56again turning heavy at times, particularly across southern coastal areas, could cause
02:00some problems on the roads if you are heading out early doors first thing on Saturday morning,
02:05so another warning is out for this area of the country. Otherwise, some clear spells
02:11and so it may turn a little bit chillier through Friday night than it will do through Thursday
02:15night but not especially cold. As we go through Saturday, we are going to still be unsettled
02:22and that's because low pressure, that same area of low pressure I highlighted before
02:25still in control and then we see another system coming up from the south and that's going
02:29to bring a spell of heavier rain, but also stronger winds to southern coastal parts.
02:34Once that clears away though, we could start to see something a little bit colder coming
02:37down from the north. I have more information about that in our weekend weather forecast
02:41which is available on our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
