00:00Hello, very good day to you. Some further autumnal weather to come with spells of rain
00:04and some strong winds through the next few days. But what's a little unusual for the
00:08time of year is how warm it's going to be. The reason for how unsettled it's going to
00:12be is low pressure. It's never too far away. We have a series of low pressure centres and
00:16their associated fronts coming through as we go through the rest of the week and into
00:20the weekend. Notice as well the direction that our winds are coming from, from the southwest
00:24and so that's why temperatures are going to stay above average. Hopefully we head back
00:29to the here and now though and you can see through the rest of Wednesday afternoon still
00:32some heavy rain pushing northwards across Orkney and Shetland. Could be the odd rumble
00:36of thunder in that but that's pushing its way northwards elsewhere and a scattering
00:40of showers here or there but for many lots of fine dry weather to be had. And with some
00:44decent sunny spells, temperatures rising so they're going to be well above average for
00:48the time of year. Highs of 19, perhaps 20 Celsius towards the south but it is going
00:52to be blustery or windy at times so it may feel a little bit cooler than that. As we
00:57go through the end of the day we are going to see some further spells of rain across
01:00parts of Scotland. Could be heavy at times. Elsewhere largely dry to start the night but
01:05some heavier rain starting to push in from the southwest as we go through the early hours
01:10of Thursday. Further east across southern parts there's a risk of some low clouds, some
01:14mist, some fog here. Further north a little bit of mist and fog perhaps but staying largely
01:18dry with some clear skies. Those temperatures still on the mild side for the time of year.
01:23Most places holding up in double figures and towards the south some places may only fall
01:27as low as 16 or 17 degrees so very mild indeed for the time of year. As we go through Thursday
01:33then that cloud and rain across southwestern parts will feed its way further northwards
01:38so into the afternoon it is going to turn cloudy and quite wet at times across parts
01:42of Northern Ireland, Northern England and into Scotland too. Some heavy bursts of rain
01:46particularly towards the west. Further south though across central southern parts of England
01:50and Wales here it will be a brightening picture as we go into the afternoon. Some sunny spells
01:55to look out for and temperatures likely to be a touch higher than on Wednesday so good
01:59chance that we'll get into the low 20s particularly towards the southeast. Still windy especially
02:04towards the west where there will be some gales and those winds will make it feel a
02:07little bit cooler. As we go through the end of the day on Thursday then still some cloud
02:12and rain across northern parts of the UK but starting the night largely dry particularly
02:17towards the south. Notice however this squally band of rain that is going to push in from
02:21the west southwest and make its way into western parts of the UK as we go into Friday.
02:26There is more unsettled weather to come as we go through the next few days and those
02:30temperatures are going to stay on the mild side. More information on all of that on our
02:33social media channels, our website and our app. I'll see you later.
