00:00Hello, very good day to you. For many it's going to be largely dry as we go through the
00:04rest of Monday, but some wet and windy weather is on the cards as we go into Tuesday. Partly
00:09in association with this area of low pressure and its associated fronts, that will push
00:13its way northwards, but there is also a weather front currently out towards just the far west.
00:19That's already brought some heavy rain through this morning, particularly across the Ars
00:22Auxili in the far west of mainland Scotland, but also to parts of Northern Ireland too.
00:26Otherwise, apart from a few outbreaks of rain across Wales, it's been a mostly dry
00:30picture this morning, and that's how it's going to stay into the afternoon. The best
00:33chance of any bright or sunny weather will be across northern areas, particularly Scotland.
00:37Otherwise, still some heavy outbreaks of rain towards the far west, and notice a spell of
00:41rain starting to push its way into the far south east as we go through the end of the
00:45afternoon. Temperatures for many are going to be on the mild side. We're looking at highs
00:50of around 15, 16, possibly even 17 Celsius towards the south. Cooler further north across
00:55parts of Scotland. Some places may struggle in single figures. As we go through the end
01:01of the day, then we are going to see this weather system pushing its way up from the
01:04north. So a spell of rain across southeastern and eastern parts of England overnight into
01:08Tuesday, and this front then continues to push its way northeastwards too. So looking
01:12at the details through the end of the day on Monday, heavy rain across parts of Northern
01:17Ireland and some heavy rain across parts of the southwest and into Wales, pushing its
01:21way northeastwards and then a swathe of rain feeding up from the south into eastern parts
01:26of England as we go through the early hours of Tuesday morning. It is going to be a relatively
01:31mild night. Many towns and cities holding up in double figures. But across northwestern
01:36parts of Scotland where we get some clear skies, it's going to be markedly chillier
01:40here. A touch of frost is possible. Tuesday does then look like it's going to be a markedly
01:45wetter day than on Monday. Heavy persistent rain, particularly across eastern parts of
01:50England. This is where we're most likely to see some high rainfall totals, perhaps 30
01:54to 50 millimetres. So some disruption to travel and also the risk of a little bit of flooding
01:59as well. Otherwise, there'll be some bright, sunny spells, but also a scattering of showers.
02:04And some of these showers could be heavy at times, perhaps even some rumbles of thunder,
02:08particularly towards the south, though a spell of more persistent rain likely later. Drier
02:13across parts of Scotland, some showery outbreaks of rain, but also some good dry, sunny spells.
02:19Temperatures across Scotland may be a touch higher compared to today, but elsewhere for
02:23many it's likely to be a nudge cooler. As we look through the rest of the week, there
02:28is some further unsettled weather to come. Low pressure never too far away. As a result,
02:32it will be wet and windy at times. Not on the same scale as we saw last week with Storm
02:37Bobette, but nonetheless, it is going to be pretty unsettled. I'll have more information
02:42on the week ahead forecast in our week ahead video, which is available on YouTube later
02:46this afternoon. Otherwise, you can keep up to date with the forecast across our social
02:50media channels, our website and our app. I'll see you later.
