00:00Hello there. Now Thursday is looking like one of the best days of the week weather-wise
00:04with some warm sunshine and a light breeze, although we will be chasing clouds across
00:09eastern counties of England as well as Scotland, but that cloud should lift and break. This
00:14ridge of high pressure keeps things settled on Thursday. A few passing showers, most places
00:20though will be dry, but notice what's happening just to the southwest. Through Thursday and
00:25into Friday this cloud will thicken, the winds will pick up some strength. There's a wind
00:30warning in force across west Wales into Friday as outbreaks of rains push in from the southwest
00:36and turn thundery. Before that though on Wednesday you can see it's a fine evening. A few passing
00:42showers towards the far north of Scotland, always more cloud with an onshore breeze across
00:47eastern Scotland and eastern areas of England. And down towards the west country Wales, even
00:52Northern Ireland we could see some mist and fog patches forming yet again. Now temperatures
00:57will be on the mild side across much of central and southern parts of England and Wales and
01:02up a notch on the last few nights across Scotland, Northern Ireland, North Wales as well as Northern
01:07England despite some clearer skies towards the west. Further east we'll see a bit of
01:11a cloudy start to Thursday but that cloud should lift through the morning. Elsewhere
01:16some fine weather, some sunshine coming through. However over the Cairngorms where that cloud
01:21is thick we could see the odd spot or two of rain, never really amounting to very much
01:25and notice the cloud even breaking here. Now through the day not a lot of change but slowly
01:31the winds will pick up from the west heralding a change in our weather as we head into Thursday.
01:37Before that though it's a fine afternoon on Thursday afternoon, temperatures typically
01:4122 to 26, 27 degrees Celsius, feeling warm in that sunshine so a pleasant end to the
01:48day. Now through Thursday evening and overnight we watch as this cloud slowly thickens and
01:53the winds pick up and in fact really of note will be the wind through the early hours of
01:58Friday morning across west Wales where that wind warning remains in force so places such
02:02as Anglesey, Powys, Gwynedd as well as Kerry Digion. Elsewhere more cloud to start the
02:09day on Friday, that cloud again a bit stubborn towards the east but some fine weather further
02:14west across Scotland as well as the eastern side of England for a time. Before we see
02:20this increasing risk of thunderstorms extend across England and Wales on Saturday. Again
02:26the wind will be a feature for travel as well as tourism and slowly that rain pushes up
02:31towards the far north of Scotland on Saturday. So a windy day here on Saturday with further
02:36showers to follow but then this ridge extends on Sunday across England and Wales so fewer
02:41showers more in the way of sunshine and some higher temperatures remaining breezy though
02:45across the north as well as the west. So let me add some detail on Friday for you. You
02:49can see this yellow wind warning here and here are those heavy thundery showers migrating
02:55slowly northwards through the day. You could see a couple of hours of wet weather before
03:00it pushes slowly further northwards but even so some prolific downpours are likely extending
03:06towards Northern Ireland and Wales as well as the southeast but a fine day across much
03:10of western and southern parts of Scotland with some sunshine coming through and then
03:15that rain extends towards more northern areas on Saturday. Temperatures typically just coming
03:20in the high teens if not the low twenties. Further south across England and Wales yes
03:24there will be some showers in the mix but also some sunshine and temperatures still
03:29relatively high towards more eastern counties. I'll see you later.
