00:00Hello again. Plenty of showers to come as we go through Wednesday evening and overnight,
00:05and then more showers through the rest of the week as well. That's because low pressure
00:10is firmly in control. It is bringing some strong blustery winds at times, but also a
00:14showery theme across the bulk of the UK. However, into the weekend, a brief ridge of high pressure
00:20is going to build, and that means, yes, Saturday may get off to a bit of a cold, frosty start
00:24for some of us, but there will be some fine weather around this weekend before this system
00:29then approaches, bringing a spell of wet and windy weather later this weekend. More
00:34on that later. For the time being, we do have plenty of showers feeding their way in from
00:38western parts as we go through this evening and overnight. There'll be some clear skies
00:43in between the showers, but particularly across eastern, northeastern parts of Scotland, this
00:48is where we're likely to stay driest with the clearest skies, and as a result, it's
00:52going to turn quite chilly here. A touch of frost is quite likely as temperatures dip
00:56to around or a bit below freezing in prone rural spots, but even elsewhere, it's a relatively
01:01chilly night to come, even towns and cities likely to fall into mid-single figures. As
01:06we go through Thursday then, a chilly start for quite a few of us, and it's going to be
01:10a showery day. The showers will be heaviest and most frequent towards western parts, with
01:15a chance of some hail and some thunder, also some heavy showers fringing around southern
01:20eastern coastal parts. Eastern areas of England and perhaps central northern parts of Scotland
01:25likely to stay driest with some decent sunshine, but still quite chilly. In parts of Scotland,
01:31many places likely to stay in single figures, a little bit milder than this further south,
01:36highs of around 11 or 12 celsius. More showers to come as we go through the end of the day
01:41on Thursday, they could be heavy at times, perhaps even some more thunder, and merging
01:46into some longer spells of rain for a time as well. Again, there will be some clear skies
01:51in between the showers, these clear skies most likely across central western parts of
01:54Scotland and into Northern Ireland as well, and here again we could see a touch of frost
01:59in some places, elsewhere temperatures looking similar to this coming night. So then Friday
02:04gets off to a bit of a damp start across southern areas, likely to see some outbreaks of showery
02:09rain here for a time, but that will clear away, and then we have a bit of a northerly
02:12wind, and it's in areas exposed to this northerly wind that we're going to see the showers most
02:17frequently on Friday. So, northern Scotland, parts of Northern Ireland, and then both western
02:22and eastern fringes are likely to see a few showers at times. More inland areas could
02:28stay mostly dry with some decent sunshine, but temperatures similar to Thursday really,
02:33highs of around 8 or 9 celsius in the north, and just about getting into double figures
02:37further south. As we go into the weekend, and as I said, we're likely to see some calmer
02:42weather for a time, so Saturday could get off to a bit of a frosty start for some of
02:46us, and then it should be mostly dry until some wet and windy weather arrives later on.
02:53We have more information on that in our 10 day trend, which will be available on our
02:56YouTube channel, so don't forget to check it out there. Bye bye.
