00:00Hello again. It is going to be a bit of a chilly start to the night, but then some wet
00:05and windy weather is going to arrive. Due to a frontal system that's currently out in
00:09the Atlantic, this will sweep its way across the UK as we go into Wednesday. It does move
00:14through fairly quickly, so the rain does clear away, but then a blustery, showery theme follows
00:20in behind. Looking at the details, and as we go through this evening and overnight,
00:24clear skies for many places are scattering of showers towards the west, with those clear
00:28skies allowing it to turn quite chilly, and for some mist and fog patches to develop in
00:33some places. But then, the wind, the rain, the clouds sweeps its way in, so it is going
00:37to turn more unsettled, and that unsettled weather will lift our temperatures. After
00:42an initially chilly start to the night, by the time many of us wake up on Wednesday,
00:46it's going to be quite a bit milder, though there may still be a touch of frost across
00:50the far north east of Scotland. As we go through Wednesday itself then, a wet and windy start
00:55for many places could be some significant spray on the roads during the morning rush
01:00hour, but as I said, that system does move through fairly quickly, except in the east
01:04and the south east, here that rain is likely to linger well into the afternoon. Some clearer
01:09skies following in behind, so many will see some sunshine during the afternoon, but notice
01:13also showers could be heavy across western parts of Scotland and into Northern Ireland
01:18over the Scottish hills. I'm expecting a little bit of snow perhaps. Temperatures on Wednesday
01:23likely to be a little bit down compared to Tuesday in the north, some places here struggling
01:28in single figures. Further south, we're looking at highs of around 13 or 14 Celsius. As we
01:33go through the end of the day on Wednesday, more showers then piling in from the west.
01:37There will still be some drier, clearer weather towards the south east, and perhaps across
01:41north eastern parts of Scotland, but elsewhere, quite a few blustery showers, and some of
01:46them could be heavy at times. Where we see the clearer skies towards the north east of
01:51Scotland, again we could see a touch of frost, otherwise temperatures not dropping particularly
01:55low, though it will be a bit of a chilly start on Thursday morning. Thursday then, a showery
02:00day for many places. The showers will be quite frequent, particularly in places exposed to
02:04that westerly wind, so western areas likely to see plenty of showers, and watch out for
02:09some heavy showers across parts of English Channel coastal areas, especially in the south
02:13east. Otherwise, the driest and brightest weather will be towards more eastern north
02:17eastern parts, but even here, a bit more cloud, and a few showers will filter in as
02:21we go through the afternoon. Temperatures for many will be down a degree again on Thursday,
02:26so many places staying in single figures across the north, and highs around 11 or 12 Celsius
02:31further south. The showery theme continues as we go through the rest of Thursday and
02:36into Friday, but with this ridge of high pressure building, I am expecting the showers to start
02:41to ease as we go through Friday, and then some drier weather as we go into Saturday.
02:46So a chilly, perhaps widely frosty start on Saturday, and then a generally fine day,
02:51but the more settled weather won't last particularly long before more wet and windy weather approaches
02:56as we go through the latter part of the weekend. We'll have more information on that nearer
02:59the time, so do hit subscribe on our YouTube channel so you can stay up to date. Bye bye.
