00:00Hello, very good day to you. Lots of southern areas had a fine, sunny and very warm weekend,
00:05but it was a wet picture across Scotland. But as we go through the rest of Monday, fine
00:10weather dominating across the bulk of the UK because of high pressure to the south.
00:14Notice there is a weak frontal system towards the northwest that is going to bring some
00:18more rain later on. But looking at the details as we go through Monday afternoon, there will
00:23be a few spots of rain across southern parts of Scotland, northern England, where the clouds
00:27thick enough, but this should clear and break up as we go through the afternoon, so turning
00:30dry and brighter here. Also a few outbreaks of rain towards the far northwest of Scotland,
00:35but nothing on the same scale as what we saw over the weekend. Elsewhere, across the rest
00:39of the UK, for Northern Ireland, central southern England and Wales, lots of fine sunny weather
00:44to be had, though some mist and murk lingering around coastal parts, particularly towards
00:48the west. In the sunshine, temperatures again rising, likely to get into the mid-twenties
00:53towards the south, so well above average for the time of year, a bit cooler further
00:57north. As we go through the end of the day, we are going to see some further rain spilling
01:01across parts of Scotland and through the early hours of Tuesday morning, that's when we'll
01:05see some cloud and rain filtering across parts of Northern Ireland and then reaching western
01:10parts of Scotland with some heavy downpours and some high totals building up here. Elsewhere
01:15across the rest of the UK, lots of dry weather to be had, though quite cloudy at times. Some
01:20clear skies across central England and Wales, but also some mist and fog filtering in across
01:24parts of western and southwestern England and Wales at times. Temperatures not dropping
01:29a huge amount because of the often cloudy skies, so most places, particularly your towns
01:33and cities, holding up in double figures. Tuesday then, a very wet picture across western
01:38parts of Scotland. The rain won't be quite as heavy as it was over the weekend, but coming
01:43on the back of some torrential downpours then, it is going to make any issues worse and so
01:48some further flooding is possible. Otherwise, we are going to see some dry, sunny weather
01:53across central southern England and Wales, but notice the rain is going to push its way
01:57a little bit further southwards as we go through the afternoon, reaching Northern Ireland,
02:01Central Scotland and perhaps some rain reaching parts of Northern England and North Wales
02:05later on in the day as well. Temperatures in the south may be down a degree or so compared
02:10to Monday, but further north they may be up a degree, but obviously in the rain and with
02:15some strong winds here, it's going to feel a little bit unpleasant at times. As we look
02:19at the bigger picture as we go through the rest of the week and you can see the fronts
02:23that we have across us on Tuesday really form that boundary between the warm air across
02:27the bulk of the UK and some colder air waiting out towards the north. As we go through the
02:32middle of the week, those fronts are going to slip their way southwards. They will bring
02:35something a bit more unsettled with them and so in the south where it has been quite dry
02:40through the last few days, it is going to turn a bit wetter for a time and we'll also
02:45see that colder air starting to push its way southwards as well. So we will see a drop
02:49in our temperatures as we go through this week. There's more information on that across
02:53our social media. Bye bye.
