00:00Hello, more of us will see a risk of some rain and showers over the next few days, however
00:05it will still stay pretty spring-like out there for many of us. But on Wednesday night
00:09the rain is still restricted to the far north of Scotland and it will tend to ease as compared
00:14to what it has been through the day. However, there will still be quite a lot of cloud around
00:19and some drizzle, especially across any coastal areas. Elsewhere it will stay dry overnight
00:25but quite a lot of cloud around as well and that will hold the temperatures up a little
00:29bit higher than they have done recently. So temperatures holding up in double digits in
00:33many towns and cities and rurally getting as low as around 5 or 6 degrees. But I wouldn't
00:39rule out the odd patch of grass frost in any clear spells to start on Thursday morning.
00:46But by and large for much of the country it will be a dry start, however we will see this
00:50weather front move very slowly eastwards through the day bringing with it that risk of rain.
00:55However, this high pressure out into the Atlantic is starting to fizzle away any of those fronts
01:00and we'll continue to see that theme as we head through the rest of the week and into
01:03the weekend with the next front starting to bring some rain from the north-west but slowly
01:08being fizzled away. So the front starts its position across to the west of Northern Ireland
01:14and Scotland to start on Thursday morning. To the east of that is going to be a dry start,
01:20some sunshine, however we will see the odd shower breaking out across parts of the Midlands
01:25and into the south of England too. But many of us will see a dry day but a little bit
01:31more cloud around across the skies as the clouds bubbles up and spreads out through
01:36the day as we head into the afternoon. In any sunshine it will still feel quite warm,
01:41we've got relatively light winds out there, highs of 20, possibly 21 degrees but most
01:47areas around average for the time of year. Then Thursday evening that front will start
01:51to push into parts of England and Wales bringing with it quite a lot of cloud too. The rain
01:57will be quite light and patchy and mainly affect higher ground and to the south of that
02:02we'll start to see some rain across the south-east as well but again quite patchy, just generally
02:07a lot more cloud around. To the north of the front across Northern Ireland and much of
02:11Scotland it's going to be a much clearer night and we could see temperatures dip back down
02:16again. So some rural areas going down to low single figures, possibly a touch of frost
02:21by the time we get to Friday morning. We could also see some pretty chilly temperatures down
02:27to the far south-east across the likes of Kent and Sussex to start on Friday. But for
02:31much of the country it's going to be a mild and cloudier start and a bit more cloud throughout
02:37the morning across much of England and Wales. We'll see some brightness start to develop
02:42by the afternoon but that will pep off a few showers. So a risk of some quite heavy
02:47showers for anywhere from the south-west extending up towards Lincolnshire through Friday. Many
02:53areas will escape them but if you do get caught in one it could be a bit of an unpleasant
02:57shower. To the north across Northern England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland it's
03:03going to be a much drier and brighter day compared to Thursday and temperatures climbing
03:08up into the high teens across the country. However, across the east coast and where we
03:12do get that cloud lingering through the day it will feel a little bit cooler. Looking
03:17ahead to the weekend we'll see more of the way of that drier and brighter weather extending
03:22across the country and it will start to warm up a little bit more. If you'd like to see
03:27any more about the weather further ahead than that, make sure you check out our 10-day trend
03:32out on YouTube later today. Otherwise, I'll see you later.
