00:00Hello. It was the kind of morning that we've not seen an awful lot of this autumn. Foggy
00:05with some patches of frost. And some of that fog will stick around into the afternoon.
00:10For example, a few fog patches through the central lowlands, Vale of York, Welsh Marches.
00:15And where we don't have the fog and we've got the low cloud instead, that will also
00:19be stubborn across many central, southern and eastern parts. But around the fringes,
00:24northern and western parts of the UK, there will be some sunny spells. And where we've
00:28got the sunshine, of course, it's going to be a pleasant enough afternoon with light
00:32winds and temperatures reaching 11 or 12 in the southwest. I think 5 to 8 elsewhere.
00:39But where we've got some stubborn fog, some spots won't climb up above 3 Celsius. A few
00:45showers close to Kent. They could affect parts of the coast during the afternoon and overnight
00:52as well. But elsewhere, it's a dry picture. And we'll see the low cloud, mist and fog
00:58stick around into the evening, perhaps spreading a bit further out and affecting many parts
01:04of the UK, especially central and eastern areas. The fog dents by the morning. It will
01:09be fairly patchy. It's not going to affect everywhere. There'll be clear skies, for example,
01:15for northern Scotland, parts of Northern Ireland, West Wales and the southwest. And where we
01:19get clear skies once again, a touch of frost is likely by dawn. But of course, where we've
01:23got the low cloud, mist, fog, it's not going to be a particularly frosty start. But there
01:29will be a lot of poor visibility first thing Wednesday, I think. Some tricky conditions
01:33on the roads. And things stay relatively settled during Wednesday with high pressure exerting
01:39its influence from the east, keeping these weather fronts at bay, but only just because
01:43this one will feed some additional cloud into Northern Ireland. And by the late morning,
01:49some outbreaks of rain will approach western parts of Northern Ireland, along with a freshening
01:53breeze. So it's going to be a brighter day across western parts of the country with that
01:59freshening breeze clearing the fog patches. And southern counties of England as well,
02:04perhaps. But across the heart of England into southern and eastern Scotland, I think there'll
02:08be, again, some persistent fog, mist and low cloud causing things to be fairly murky
02:14throughout the day. And on the cold side, where of course that happens, temperatures
02:18in the low to mid-single figures. Elsewhere, further west, perhaps a touch milder because
02:24of that increasing southerly breeze for Northern Ireland. Southern England, parts of West Wales
02:29as well, 11 or 12 Celsius. Now, the rain across parts of Northern Ireland as well as eventually
02:37western Scotland will tend to linger through the rest of Wednesday and into the start of
02:42Thursday. That's about as far as it gets. It will tend to stick in that same sort of
02:47position. But you can see the fairly widespread low cloud, mist and fog once again reforming
02:54on Wednesday night. And Thursday is going to be a particularly foggy start in many places
02:59before eventually a freshening breeze from the east on Friday in the weekend brings better
03:04visibility but also colder air.
