00:00Hello again. We've seen a number of showers for many parts of the UK once again as we've
00:05started this new week. Showers will continue in the north and the west overnight as well
00:10as English Channel coast where it will remain breezy. But there will be fewer showers I
00:14think for parts of eastern England, north east Scotland for example. Here clear spells
00:19will prevail. But whether you've got showers or clear spells we've all got this mild breeze
00:24coming up from the south west and as a result it's not going to be a particularly chilly
00:28night. In fact temperatures in most places staying at around 10 to 14 Celsius. And we'll
00:34see some brightness first thing. Eastern Scotland for example. Eastern and central parts of
00:38England blue skies from the word go. There will be showers elsewhere and showers will
00:43develop into central parts by the end of the morning. But you'll notice there are fewer
00:48showers on the map compared with Monday and there's a better chance of seeing some bright
00:53spells. I say bright rather than sunny because there will be some high cloud around so it's
00:57not going to be entirely blue skies. And we're going to see some wetter weather turning
01:03up by the end of the afternoon into Cornwall, parts of Devon and eventually parts of Wales.
01:08A mild afternoon to come though. 18 Celsius in the south, 15, 16 in the north. Here's
01:14that rain. It moves into Wales, moves into other southern counties of England for a time
01:18and then sets in across Northern Ireland, Northern England and Scotland by around midnight.
01:23Some heavy and persistent rain. The wettest spot likely to be Dumfries and Galloway where
01:28we're going to see 30, 40 millimetres of rain. But much of the rain is moving away as we
01:34start off Wednesday. Replaced further south by showers but also a strong wind pushing
01:39that rain through reaching Galeforce by the end of the night around exposed coasts of
01:43the Irish Sea as well as Western Scotland. Isobars packed closely together with these
01:48weather fronts skirting across northern and western parts of the UK. Eastern England doesn't
01:53see much of that wet weather and it's soon enough clearing from Scotland followed by
01:59showers. Fairly lively showers I think for a time during the morning but by the afternoon
02:03actually for many places it's just bright and breezy. Again there'll be one or two showers
02:08but there'll also be this brisk breeze pushing the showers through quickly replacing the
02:12showers by sunny spells. And by the end of the afternoon for many it's sunny skies but
02:18with that wind. However the wind is coming from this very mild direction and so 18, possibly
02:2519 Celsius in the south, 16 or 17 further north. Then into Thursday as well as Friday
02:31where it turns even milder particularly by night and so temperatures by night in some
02:36places higher than daytime averages. And it stays that way into the weekend with further
02:41wind and rain for some as well.
