00:00Hello there and welcome to your forecast from the Met Office. Well, as we go through the
00:03rest of today, it's going to be another very hot one. Potentially, we will see further
00:08records fallen as we go through the course of this afternoon. This is the area under
00:14the red warning for extreme heat. This is where we're probably going to see temperatures
00:18reach in excess of 40 degrees this afternoon. We do have a wider amber warning in force,
00:23especially for southern Scotland, into Wales and the rest of England. But some fresher
00:27air is starting to move in down towards the south-west and on that boundary we may see
00:33a few thunderstorms develop. Also, parts of Northern Ireland and Western Scotland, things
00:37fresher here too as this band of rain gradually works its way in. But where we see most of
00:43the blue sky across England, temperatures reaching 40 or 41 degrees in Celsius. So it's
00:50going to be a very warm evening to come across many eastern parts and that may trigger a
00:54few thunderstorms across north-eastern England, so we'll have to keep an eye on that. But
00:58as the night goes on, that area of rain will gradually spread its way eastwards, bringing
01:04something slightly fresher to the east. But overall, I still think it's going to be another
01:07very uncomfortable night to sleep in. But out towards the west, temperatures should
01:12fall down to around the mid-teens, so hopefully a little bit better here. It's going into
01:17Wednesday. Overall, probably more in the way of cloud developing across the south compared
01:21to of late. And as the day goes on here, we will start to see some thunderstorms develop.
01:26We do have a yellow thunderstorm warning in force across the south-east as we go into
01:31the afternoon. So again, keeping a close eye on here. Up towards the north, a fairly decent
01:36day to come really tomorrow. Lots of sunshine around, some cloud and a few showers, especially
01:41near western coast. But here, temperatures far more comfortable around the high-teens
01:46to low-twenties. Temperatures in the south certainly down on today, but still quite hot,
01:5228 degrees is still possible down towards the south-east corner. Going into the evening,
01:58showers across the south-east will continue to rumble on, but hopefully they will start
02:02to cool the air down ever so slightly. So hopefully a bit more in the way of a comfortable
02:07night's sleep to come, but it's still going to be on the warm side I'm afraid. And then
02:11going into the rest of the week, we will just continue to see temperatures slide back down
02:15to sink a little bit nearer to normal. And you can check out more details on that on
02:20the social media channels, and I'll see you again later.
