Transcript
00:00Good afternoon everyone and welcome to Sunday's Met Office video. We're expecting
00:05wet and windy weather in the northwest this afternoon but it'll be bright and
00:09breezy in the southeast. So showers or longer spells of rain will sweep around
00:15a low-pressure area centred in the Hebrides. Heavy bursts of rain are likely
00:19particularly in Northern Ireland and Western Scotland. It'll also be windy
00:24especially around the Irish Sea. Gales are likely on exposed coasts of southwest
00:29Scotland and Cumbria. Temperatures will be similar to Saturday. It'll feel cool
00:35in the wind and rain in the northwest but pleasantly warm in the southeastern
00:39sunshine. The same pattern will continue in the evening with wind and rain in the
00:44northwest and some late sunshine in the southeast. Overnight rain will continue
00:50in Wales and Western England but become less frequent and less heavy in Northern
00:54Ireland and Scotland. Cloud and wind will keep overnight temperatures fairly
00:59mild though in clear spells and lighter winds in the southeast a few rural spots
01:04here will drop into single figures. The wind will be less strong on Monday
01:10morning but a band of showers will gradually move from west to east
01:13eventually affecting the whole of the UK. Temperatures will be similar to
01:18Sunday in most places but a little lower in the southeastern half of England due
01:23to the extra cloud and showers. Tuesday will be rather similar to Sunday again
01:29with rain and wind mainly affecting northwestern parts of the UK and brighter
01:34weather in the southeast. If you want to know more keep an eye on our social
01:39media channels and we'll issue a new video at about 5 p.m. this afternoon.
