00:00Hello. An autumnal feeling week, certainly a chill in the air out there today, thanks

00:05to a gusty wind that's coming down from the north. The big picture shows bands of showers

00:10drifting across the country overnight and the air is coming down from the north. Hence

00:15that chilly feel, particularly if you're exposed to that northerly wind, which will continue

00:18to feed plenty of showers in across northern Scotland, down through the Irish Sea into

00:23north and west Wales, the old one for southwest England, and a few getting into the Midlands

00:28and eastern parts of England, also the odd heavy one as well. But because of that breeze,

00:32the showers are tending to zip through. In many places, we won't see those showers staying

00:36dry and bright, but even with a bit of sunshine, temperatures are generally below average,

00:41certainly feeling quite a bit colder than it has done for most of September. And when

00:45you add on the strength of that wind, which is particularly gusty if you're looking northwards,

00:50then temperatures will feel more like single digits for many. So yes, a chilly feel. It's

00:56going to be a fairly fresh evening if you're heading out this evening as well. Still quite

00:59a few showers grazing the eastern side and coming down through the Irish Sea into parts

01:04of north Wales. And we'll always keep the showers packing in across northern Scotland

01:08throughout the night. A few will start to again filter down through the Cheshire Gap

01:12into parts of the Midlands. Temperature wise, well, enough of a breeze to stop temperatures

01:16dropping too far. But I suspect we could still get fairly close to freezing in some rural

01:21spots, most towns and cities down into single digits. So again, a fresh feel to Tuesday.

01:27Again, quite a bit of sunshine around on the eastern side of England early on. But these

01:32showers will just keep on feeding in through the Irish Sea across Liverpool Bay down into

01:36the Midlands. So here could be quite a wet day. Another place likely to see a fairly

01:40wet afternoon is Cornwall. Cloud thickening here with outbreaks of rain edging into parts

01:45of Devon, maybe Pembrokeshire at times and all the time with the breeze continuing to

01:49come down from the north. We'll see more showers across northern Scotland. The wind's

01:53perhaps not quite as strong tomorrow, but again, something of a fresh feel compared

01:58to recently, only 12, 13 degrees for many of us. We may see higher temperatures in the

02:03southwest, but of course, with more clouds here and outbreaks of rain, it won't feel

02:08very pleasant at all. Through the course of Tuesday evening, again, that northerly flow

02:13just continue to feed showers in through the Irish Sea into north Wales, northwest England.

02:17A few more just bumping into the eastern side of England as well. And that's how we

02:22go into Wednesday with that low pressure still out in the North Sea. But that tends to peel

02:27away and the ice bars open up. So the wind's easing off a touch as we go through the week,

02:31but all the while staying chilly with a mixture of sunshine and showers until this area of

02:36low pressure likely to swing in during Friday, bringing a band of heavy rain and also some

02:42gusty winds with it as well. So plenty going on over the rest of this week. Stay up to
