00:00Hey friends, I'm Stacey and this is Gorgeously Aging and today I'm going to talk about a

00:08product that will help alleviate crepey skin and reduce the signs of aging that come from

00:14estrogen depletion.

00:17As we go through perimenopause and into menopause, our estrogen levels decline and that starts

00:22to show signs in the skin.

00:24We start to see drier skin with more crepiness and thinness.

00:28I've been using estrogen topicals on my skin for quite a long time but I stumbled across

00:32this one from Paula's Choice and it's called Phytoestrogen Elasticity Renewal Serum.

00:39This one I'm super impressed with.

00:41It really does tackle those areas where we start to see signs of estrogen depletion in

00:47our skin.

00:48That crepiness and just that more tissue papery looking skin.

00:52This formula helps with thinning skin, so helps to restore its thickness and just more

00:58youthful appearance.

00:59Let me show you the texture of this you guys.

01:06So it is a nice creamy texture and they do have one of these for the body that I've been

01:10using on the backs of my hands and underneath my arms here.

01:14Those are the two areas I'm noticing more crepiness on my body but I'm not using this

01:19one, I'm using the body formula.

01:21Now there have been tons of studies in the last several years that are showing how topical

01:26estrogen can be so beneficial on aging skin.

01:30So I personally am still using an estrogen patch to get that really more potent estrogen

01:36in my body but a topical estrogen is perfect whether you're using estrogen like bioidentical

01:42estrogen palettes or patches or if you've decided not to use any type of hormone replacement

01:48but you do want some light estrogen on the skin and this estrogen is not going to raise

01:54your blood estrogen levels or increase any kind of risk for cancers.

01:59There are several different types of estrogen and this is not the estrogen that has a significant

02:04impact on your serum blood estrogen levels.

02:08This is enough to do some improvement on the skin and what I've found is after about two

02:12weeks of use you start to see the difference.

02:15The key with this is consistency, using it regularly.

02:19So on this particular product they recommend using it once to twice a day.

02:24I would start with a morning application, see how your skin reacts to that and then

02:28if you feel like you want extra benefits or your skin needs a little bit more you can

02:33do it morning and night.

02:34It's a really gentle formula, there's nothing irritating about this product and I totally

02:39agree with their claims that it visibly improves signs of aging related to estrogen depletion.

02:44Now I wouldn't start using this cream when you're in your 20s or even 30s necessarily.

02:49I think as you start to approach your 40s and your estrogen starts declining and you're

02:53noticing some of those signs of crepiness and just a little wrinkling.

02:57I tend to get a little crepiness in this part of my neck and I'm noticing just a tiny bit

03:02more of that estrogen depletion in this part of my face and this definitely helps.

03:08Now interestingly I didn't realize this until I got onto the Paula's Choice website.

03:12This is something that I purchased myself, it was not sent to me and this is not a sponsored

03:17video so my opinions are always 100% honest.

03:20I really just want you guys to find products that help to resolve some of those concerns

03:25that you have.

03:26But what I found here is that it is usually $55 and that's what I paid and it's on sale

03:30now for $41.25.

03:32So if you see this video while this is still on sale it's a really good value.

03:43I have used other less expensive estrogen creams and I'll list a couple of those as

03:48well in the description box below but what I found is the formula of those is a little

03:52heavier and not quite as beautifully absorbed as the Paula's Choice.

03:58In those formulas you do get more product so if you are really concerned about the budget

04:03definitely check out those other options but if you have a chance I would suggest trying

04:07this.

04:08You'll definitely see some improvement after a couple of weeks in those areas where you're

04:11starting to see some signs of estrogen depletion in your skin.

04:15I really like the body formula which I'll also link and like I said I'm noticing benefits

04:20in the backs of my hands and underneath here where the skin's a little thinner and it was

04:24starting to look a little crepey.
