00:00For those of you who are new, my name is Stacey, this is Gorgeously Aging Advanced, and today
00:07we're going to be talking about glutathione, vitamin B12, and lignanec, which is human
00:14placenta.
00:15I'm really excited to talk about all of these things and what they're used for.
00:19Some of these things I've known about for years and years, and particularly the lignanec
00:25or the human placenta is somewhat new to me.
00:27So I have been researching this a lot more recently just to find out how it's been used,
00:33and it has been used for decades in other countries.
00:36So we'll get into that later.
00:38I love science, I love the human body and what these things do in the human body and
00:44how they help treat not only the skin for anti-aging, but just the body and the human
00:51body in general.
00:52Part of what I'm passionate about as I age is learning to recognize where I'm deficient
00:57in things in my own body, the symptoms, and what might help me live a longer, more vibrant
01:02life, especially because I'm somebody that has had thyroid cancer and I have an autoimmune
01:09disease, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and some of what is happening to me is because of deficiencies
01:15in certain areas and also dietary concerns.
01:18I'm going to be talking more about that over at Gorgeously Aging, so if you are watching
01:22me on Gorgeously Aging Advanced today, check out Gorgeously Aging.
01:28I'm going to be talking about, I just started keto, which I've done a number of times in
01:31my life, and right now I'm kind of going through the keto flu and how I have been able to kind
01:37of minimize that compared to the severity in the past, but I don't want to get too much
01:43onto keto and the keto flu, but I do want to jump right into vitamin B12, so let's start
01:50there.
01:51If you guys are brand new here, a special welcome, I do hope you'll subscribe and join
01:54the Gorgeously Aging Advanced community, and if you've been with me for a while, sending
01:58you all virtual hugs, I do appreciate you.
02:02So we're going to start, let's start with glutathione, actually.
02:06So this is glutathione, these are injectable glutathione, however they can be used topically,
02:14but let's just talk about glutathione, what it is, and who might need glutathione.
02:21Now remember, have a conversation with your doctor about your specific needs, this is
02:25just stuff that interests me, this is for entertainment.
02:29So glutathione is a peptide, and it is in every cell of the human body, including the
02:34immune cells.
02:36So for somebody who has an autoimmune disorder, that's of particular interest to me.
02:42I have my little notes here, so if you see me glancing off to the side, I have been such
02:46a space case with this new keto, being on keto for now like four days, I'm in active
02:51ketosis, but I'm not quite completely fat adapted, so I'm a little low energy and scatterbrained,
02:58so I made myself some notes here.
03:01It is made up of three amino acids, it is cysteine, glutamate, and glycine, and it is
03:08a master detoxifier.
03:11So this excites me about glutathione.
03:13It's got so many benefits, but the detoxifying effects and anti-inflammatory effects are
03:18so huge, especially as we age.
03:21So this is something that I plan to do as an either intramuscular or subcutaneous injection,
03:29but again, this is something that you should discuss with your doctor.
03:33It helps with skin health, lightens brightened skin, has some anti-aging effects, and it's
03:39a fantastic antioxidant.
03:42So I haven't ever really used glutathione, but I'm very excited based on what I've learned
03:48to give it a try.
03:50Somebody that has an autoimmune disorder too, I think in many cases people with autoimmune
03:56are very low on glutathione.
03:59It promotes energy, and for those who wonder what the list are of glutathione deficiency
04:08symptoms, it's fatigue, weakness, dizziness, sleep problems, dermatitis, joint pain, which
04:15I have a lot of, but that could be associated with my autoimmune disease, depression, mood
04:21instability, and of course, like I mentioned, autoimmune disease is associated with glutathione
04:27deficiency.
04:29Now interestingly, I was diagnosed in the year 2000, so 22 years ago with thyroid cancer
04:36and autoimmune disease.
04:37Not once has a doctor in the United States ever mentioned that glutathione deficiency
04:44is related to autoimmune disease.
04:47Some of the best information that I've gotten about autoimmune disease I've researched and
04:51found on my own, but also from naturopath doctors who take a particular interest in
04:57autoimmune disease.
04:59So mainstream medicine doesn't necessarily specialize in autoimmune disease or some of
05:08these specific symptoms of glutathione deficiency.
05:12So I'm really looking forward to giving it a try and just seeing if it helps reduce the
05:17number of flare-ups, if it improves my skin, if it helps with my joint pain, and so many
05:23of these symptoms.
05:25Fatigue is something that I've dealt with since my thyroid cancer back in 2000.
05:30It comes and goes.
05:31There are times where I get months and months without severe fatigue, but there are times
05:35where I'll go months with really bad fatigue.
05:40Depression is something that I've battled with my thyroid cancer.
05:44I really didn't have depression until I went through thyroid cancer and all the endocrine
05:49issues and the autoimmune issues.
05:52It's about that time that depression kind of came into my life.
05:56And so I'm hoping that glutathione shows some improvement in those issues that I've been
06:01facing since the year 2000.
06:04If you're with me in the comments, you are welcome to comment.
06:07If you catch this later, of course, you can pop into the comments and we can all answer
06:12any questions or just say hello.
06:14I always love hearing from you guys.
06:16So most of what I'm going to talk about here for best effects are used as an intramuscular
06:23or subcutaneous injection.
06:25Of course, talk to your doctor.
06:27Sometimes they can advise you or even prescribe to you some of these things.
06:31I will be talking about my personal experience with this more over on my website, GorgeouslyAging.com.
06:37So if you haven't signed up for my email list, you can find that link in the description
06:41box below.
06:43So the next thing I'm going to talk about in a particular interest to me because I just
06:48started a ketogenic diet and when I start a new diet, I am very all in 100%.
06:56So I'm doing everything that I need to do, no cheating, no bending the rules, drinking
07:00lots of water, taking electrolytes, getting a little bit extra rest as my body becomes
07:06less of a glucose or sugar burner and more of a ketone burner.
07:12Whenever you switch from using glucose as your primary fuel to ketones, you're going
07:18to go through a few days of not feeling well.
07:21There are those rare people that are able to do it without any symptoms, but I always
07:25have a little bit of keto flu.
07:27Even with lots of water and electrolytes, my body's a little resistant and likes to
07:32use carbohydrates as fuel and so it takes me a little bit, but this is where the B12
07:39comes in.
07:40So the B12 is this and I, um, let me just get into my notes here about the effects of
07:49vitamin B12 on your body.
07:51So it helps with energy levels.
07:53Many of us have heard of B12 injections for weight loss or to assist in weight loss.
07:58There is some data and scientific studies that do show that a deficiency in B12 makes
08:05it harder to lose weight.
08:06So being that I have a compromised, uh, I have an autoimmune disease and I have no thyroid
08:12from thyroid cancer.
08:14My endocrine system is not in the best shape and weight loss has not always been easy for
08:19me.
08:20So I would love to have improved energy levels and I would love to have my metabolism working
08:24a little more efficiently.
08:26It also plays a role in your sleep cycle.
08:29So I don't know about any of you, I'm 50 now.
08:32And so as I've gotten in my mid forties up into 50 more waking up in the night, uh, less
08:39my quality of sleep is a little bit less than it used to be.
08:43And so I'm hoping that, you know, if I really focus on tackling some of these issues, getting
08:49better sleep, that will help improve a lot of things, um, and improve certain types of
08:55hair loss, which was something that I did not know about vitamin B12.
08:59So I don't have a ton of hair loss, but I have noticed hair thinning around the front
09:04hairline.
09:05And so that is something that I'm just going to pay close attention to to see if B12 has
09:11any improvement on the hair loss that I have experienced with hormones and aging.
09:16Um, interestingly, uh, vitamin B12 helps reduce heart disease, stroke, vision problems, and
09:25infertility.
09:26There's a whole long list.
09:28So I had no clue.
09:30I knew about the heart disease that B12 played a role in that, but I did not know that B12
09:35could improve infertility.
09:37So these are just things that I have researched and find really interesting.
09:42Always take this as a stepping stone for your own study.
09:45All right, you guys, if you're in the comments, I will be checking in there.
09:50And if I am a little bit, uh, if this video is a little glitchy, we have been working
09:55on better internet options, but I'm in a rural area in the mountains.
09:58And so we have the absolute best internet we can get right now.
10:02My husband's trying to figure out a solution, but I am directly connecting to my internet
10:08and still sometimes things are a bit glitchy and I apologize.
10:11Uh, so we are working on that.
10:14All right, Layanac.
10:15This is Layanac.
10:16This is a product that has been on my radar for a little while now, but I had a little
10:21bit of apprehension about it.
10:24Although I had apprehension, I still wanted to really understand what Layanac was, what
10:29it's used for and what it's all about.
10:32So Layanac is not FDA approved in the United States, but has been used for decades in other
10:37countries and it is derived from human placenta that is, um, that is, um, ethically sourced,
10:44you guys.
10:45And so it is the, the technology that processes, processes the Layanac or the human placenta.
10:53It is high quality to keep the ingredients that are so essential in what makes this really
10:59incredible, but also to make it safe for use, meaning to make sure it's pure and safe for
11:08people to use.
11:09So this is being used around the world.
11:11It is not being used by injection in the United States, but placenta can be used topically
11:16in skincare, microneedling, mesotherapy, but it's not, uh, FDA approved for, um, intramuscular
11:24or subcutaneous injection.
11:26That's not to say people aren't doing it, but it is not FDA approved for that.
11:30So it has been used for decades around the world for things like, um, tissue regeneration,
11:36joint pain, liver, particularly for liver damage and cirrhosis.
11:43And it has an incredible regenerative, um, effect on those things from my studies.
11:48Now I, of course, I don't know personally, I'm not a doctor, none of this is medical
11:52advice or instruction, but it is fascinating to learn about.
11:56So it is, let me look at my cheat sheets here, HGF is hepatocyte growth factors.
12:02It has amino acids, growth factors, cytokines, um, and other physiological active substances
12:09that come from the placenta.
12:11Um, it is rich in bioactive substances, musculoskeletal pain, it does wonders for that, liver damage
12:18and cirrhosis, like I mentioned, and it's two mils subcutaneous or intramuscular.
12:25Of course, you guys, I'm not advocating this, always talk to your doctor, I'm just sharing
12:29with you something that I find really, really interesting.
12:33Placental therapy, uh, for recovery of disease and tissue regeneration.
12:37So if you do a deep dive on the internet, you will find studies on how people have reversed
12:42cirrhosis and things with their, you know, uh, fatty liver, damaged liver and other significant
12:50health issues with laniac or human placenta.
12:54However, my focus on the, in this video, although those are incredible things to know is that
13:00it's also incredible for the skin.
13:02So whether it's used intramuscularly or subcutaneously, it can be used topically on the skin, it could
13:12be mesotherapy or microneedled as well.
13:16So I find all these things really interesting.
13:18I'm really particularly interested to see if the glutathione has any effect on the frequency
13:25of my autoimmune disease flare-ups.
13:28So that's, and then of course the B12, because I'm just kind of re-entering a new phase with
13:33this ketogenic diet, which I've done a number of times before.
13:37I'm hoping that the B12 will help with my metabolism, with energy, and just feeling
13:43more vibrant because I have felt fatigued and sluggish, and some of that could be just
13:49the weight I gained from COVID, some of it could be autoimmune-related, age-related,
13:54being less active with COVID, all of those things come into play.
13:57But I'm excited to see how glutathione and B12 help with those energy levels and all
14:03those symptoms that I'm facing.
14:06You know, the only person I can really blame for the weight gain through COVID and being
14:11less active is myself, but heading back in a right path with being more active, going
14:17to the gym, lifting weights, and getting back on a ketogenic diet for me has worked really
14:22well in the past.
14:24So I'm going to jump over to comments.
14:27If you guys have used any of these glutathione, vitamin B12, Lignac, let me know what you
14:33think of those products, how you've used them, mention it in the comment below, and I'd love
14:38to hear what your experiences have been.
14:41So jumping into comments, I see Sherry is here.
14:44Hello, thank you for the information, I'm so happy.
14:47You guys, I don't know everything.
14:48I'm still passionately researching all of these things, but just really excited to share
14:52what I'm learning about them.
14:54So I know that there are doctors and experts online.
14:58If you do some research or even like type in the search bar on YouTube, you'll find
15:02more information about all the things I've just mentioned here.
15:06So never take my word for it.
15:08I am a passionate researcher, and I would hope that you would always do your own homework
15:13as well.
15:14Adriana is here.
15:15I just found out I have rheumatoid arthritis, is that it, or rheumatic arthritis.
15:21I'm 51 and just getting in on your chat.
15:25I don't know what you said before.
15:26I love you.
15:27Thank you for being here, and Adriana, after the live is over, you can go back and watch
15:32from the beginning to pick up on what you missed.
15:36You are great and looking great.
15:38Thank you, Adriana.
15:39You're so sweet.
15:41And she says, I agree with you on the sleep issues.
15:43Yeah, that's one of the things that I think has affected me the most is just waking up
15:47so often.
15:49Now for those of you here on Gorgeously Aging Advanced, you may not have saw that I announced
15:52over at Gorgeously Aging that I have decided to completely give up alcohol and live a alcohol-free
15:58life.
15:59I think that was like nine days ago that I made that decision, and for me, it's not a
16:04big issue because I didn't have a physical dependency on alcohol.
16:09I wasn't an alcoholic, but I drink alcohol probably three or four times a week, and I
16:15have a son that is a recovering addict, and I just felt it was time.
16:18It was time for me.
16:20Nothing good for me comes from alcohol, and for those who can do it in moderation and
16:24still have a really healthy lifestyle, that's great.
16:28But I tend to be an all-or-nothing person, so one glass of wine would lead to four or
16:32one cocktail would lead to three or four, and I found for me personally that even if
16:38I didn't get a hangover, I still didn't feel very energetic the next day.
16:43So energy for me with my thyroid issues and endocrine issues is a difficult thing anyway,
16:49and then you throw drinking on top of it even if it's just two or three drinks, and it just
16:55disrupts my ability to have a really productive day, and so it was time for me.
17:01I kept waking up thinking, you know, I think I want to be done with alcohol.
17:04I don't think it's doing anything for me.
17:05I don't think I can reach my goals when I'm drinking alcohol.
17:09So it was just a personal decision.
17:13Now my husband, Adam, is still drinking.
17:14He doesn't drink much.
17:15He's never been a big drinker, but we did go out one night, and he had a cocktail, and
17:21at that time, I hadn't started keto yet, so I had a non-alcoholic beer, and it was actually
17:28quite good.
17:29I was surprised, but, you know, since then, I haven't even had a craving, so I think I've
17:36been really lucky giving up alcohol, and I know in the future there'll come some social
17:40situations where everybody's drinking, and I may be the only one that's not, and so I'll
17:45cross that bridge when I get to it, but I think I'm feeling so steadfast in this decision
17:51that it's probably not going to bother me too much, so I'm hoping that's the case.
17:56Tundi is here.
17:57I think you have a thyroid issue.
17:59Your throat problem is one of the signs.
18:00I have no thyroid.
18:03The reason I have thyroid cancer, and so my thyroid was removed, so I don't have a thyroid,
18:10and I have a weak voice because, well, when they did the surgery, they nicked a nerve
18:15that controls one of my vocal cords, so I speak using only one vocal cord, which for
18:21a while, I had no voice at all, so I don't have a thyroid, so absolutely in the year
18:262000, I lost my thyroid due to thyroid cancer.
18:30I had radiation treatment several times, and my voice will always sound weak and scratchy,
18:36and so, of course, there's a plethora of health issues that come with not having a
18:41thyroid.
18:42It's such a critical part of your hormonal system, your endocrine system, so this is
18:48why I was very excited to see that oftentimes people who have autoimmune disease, which
18:54was diagnosed when I had my thyroid cancer, the Hashimoto's thyroiditis, is that they
19:00have low levels of glutathione, so it'll be interesting to see if using glutathione, which
19:06I do have an oral tablet, I also have a supplement that I take, I have a whole box of daily supplements,
19:11multivitamins, glutathione, just a bunch of stuff that I could share with you at some
19:17point in a different video, but I'm curious to see if glutathione in injection form intramuscularly
19:25makes a difference on my autoimmune disease, so experimenting a bit on myself, and again,
19:32not medical advice or instruction, this is just my curiosity, studying the human body
19:37and really studying some of the things that affect me personally and just doing some research
19:44and experiment to see how I respond to those things, but definitely go see your doctor
19:50if you're thinking about starting any kind of new supplements or doing anything that
19:55may not react well with the medications you're taking or may not be something that would
20:01be good for you.
20:02So I thank you guys all so much for checking in with me today for this kind of informal
20:07chat about vitamin B12, laniac, which is human placenta, and glutathione, I'm excited to
20:14experiment with all of them, but more with the glutathione and the vitamin B12 because
20:21based on what I'm reading, it sounds like exactly what I need.
20:25So I will definitely keep you guys posted, let you know how things are going for me and
20:29if it's helping me, and if you're interested at all learning more about how I'm getting
20:36through the keto flu here now, I'm about, I think I'm four or five days into ketosis,
20:41I'm using those little keto strips to make sure I'm staying in ketosis and being very
20:47religious, I'm using MyFitnessPal to track all of my macros so that I know exactly how
20:53much I'm getting in carbohydrates, fat, and protein, and I'm staying true to the macros
20:59suggested by the keto diet, and if you're interested in learning more about that or
21:04just hearing about my experience and my weight loss, I'm going to share that over at Gorgeously
21:09Aging, so you're welcome to pop over there, probably later today I'll do a live there
21:13or tomorrow, I'm trying to fit that into my schedule, but thank you all so much for being
21:18here, I appreciate each and every one of you, and I will see you in my next video.
