00:00The government of Venezuela confirmed that there are no members of the extinct Trinidad
00:14Agua criminal organization among the 238 migrants deported from the United States to El Salvador.
00:22The Sudanese armed forces confirmed Friday the capture of the presidential palace in
00:26Khartoum from paramilitary rapid support forces.
00:33And Tel Aviv Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened the annexation of gas and territory
00:37spending the release of hostages in a move that exposes the genocidal intentions of the
00:42Zionist regime.
00:47Hello welcome to From the South, I'm Luis Alberto Matos from Televisa Studios in Caracas,
00:51Venezuela.
00:52We begin with the news, stay with us.
00:56The government of Venezuela confirmed that there are no members of the extinct Trinidad
01:11Agua criminal organization among the 238 migrants deported from the United States to El Salvador.
01:17The Minister of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace of Venezuela Diosdado Cabello informed
01:22also during the program Sin Truco Ni Mañas, Cabello unveiled that national security forces
01:27compare an unofficial list of the names of the deported with an organizational chart
01:32relating members of the extinct Trinidad Agua group and similar criminal organizations.
01:37Furthermore, the Minister assured that the United States is using the neutralized criminal
01:41organization to stigmatize Venezuelan migrants.
01:44In this context, Cabello also criticized the actions of Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele
01:49describing him as a tool of imperialism.
01:56Here we have not received anyone from the Aragua train, they kept saying they are from
02:00the Aragua train.
02:04It is not true, it is not true, and I must say it responsibly.
02:11Yesterday a list of Venezuelans that in theory are in El Salvador came out.
02:17We also have, because we have been doing that work, we have been updating it.
02:21We have the organization chart of the criminal groups, of what is left of them, because we
02:26have hit them hard right and left.
02:30A journalistic investigation revealed contradictions in statements made by the government of El
02:35Salvador regarding the deported Venezuelan migrants.
02:38The research unveiled that at least one of every kidnapped Venezuelans are irregular migrants
02:42and not people linked to the extinct banned Trinidad Agua.
02:46As both the Salvadoran and U.S. President have claimed.
02:49The source further explained that the security cabinet of the Salvadoran government believes
02:52there are some 50 innocent people among the over 230 kidnapped Venezuelans.
02:56In addition, the study assured that the Bukele administration supposedly promised to review
03:01each case of the foreign nationals and to grant and allege disferentiated treatment.
03:14And according to U.S. intelligence reports, Donald Trump's government has been unable
03:19to prove any link between the criminal organization Trinidad Agua and the Venezuelan authorities.
03:24A recent investigation published by a national media outlet confirms that the findings of
03:29federal agencies contradict the President's claims, which were instrumental in the invocation
03:33of the Alien Enemies Act from war crimes.
03:37In this regard, a document shared by the intelligence services, dated February 26, 2025, concludes
03:43that the organization Trinidad Agua is not controlled by the government of Nicolás Maduro.
03:56In Panama, government authorities repressed teachers who were demonstrating against the
04:00Social Security Fund reform.
04:02Local police attacked teachers and workers from other unions who were distributing flyers
04:06in the area of Cuatro Altos in the province of Colón.
04:10During the repression, officials of the crowd control unit detained union leader Alberto
04:14Díaz, who was with members of the union movement of educators of the Republic of Panama and
04:19the Single National Union of Construction Industry Workers and similar workers.
04:31In the face of the legitimate right we have to protest, to fight, to mobilize, to march,
04:36our fellow educators of Colón and all the organizations that came to the call of a march
04:41to be held in Colón are being repressed by this government.
04:44That bets again as in 2010 on repression in Boca del Toro, because that is its perverse
04:50plan of wanting to impose a disastrous law for the entire population, for all workers.
05:03We urge the Panamanian people to join the fight against the dictatorial regime of petty
05:07dictator Mulino, because he cannot do whatever he wants in the country, the country does
05:11not belong to him.
05:16The Guatemalan Migration Institute and the Forensic Anthropology Foundation signed a
05:20cooperation agreement focused on the search and identification of missing Guatemalan migrants.
05:25The agreement aims to implement joint actions that protect human rights and guarantee a
05:30technified treatment for migrants and their families.
05:32It will include the creation of an accurate database that records relevant information
05:38on missing persons.
05:39We are a real-time information system with international institutions and direct contact
05:43with relatives.
05:44According to data provided by migration authorities, so far in 2025, 33 people have been reported
05:49missing, 15 have been found and 18 are still being sought after.
06:01The Brazilian Federal Police has blamed the social network X for the shortcomings in the
06:05blocking of profiles ordered by the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court.
06:09In a report to the judge, the police stressed that the platform not only allowed live broadcasts
06:14from blocked sites, but also facilitated the dissemination of links that contributed to
06:18the financing of communicators loyal to former President Jair Bolsonaro and far-right groups.
06:24In response to the report, the authorities have asked the companies Meta and X to provide
06:29data and content related to the publications of blogger Alan dos Santos.
06:33This situation has sparked a debate about the responsibility of digital platforms in
06:37moderating content and complying with court orders in Brazil.
06:50And in Chile, NoMoreAFP and other social movements urged citizens to picket on March 30th against
06:57the pension reform.
06:58The organization's name, NoMoreAFP, stands for No More Private Pension Fund Managers.
07:04This one and other social movements will be rallying against the lower wages decreed by
07:09the pensions reform.
07:10They further denounced citizens will be giving their money to the state and companies.
07:15Therefore, they summoned people to take to the streets to protest against the pensions
07:19reform that only strengthened the private pension fund managers instead of eradicating them.
07:24In this regard, experts ensure that the reform is just a step forward in the short term as
07:29it does not sort out the structural crisis of the pension system.
07:40Argentina closed Thursday with $26.7 billion in reserves, the lowest figure since September
07:462024, having an impact on the dollar exchange rate in the black market.
07:50After having passed the Millet's decree for a new indebtedness with the International
07:55Monetary Fund, the dollar was worth 1,300 pesos in the illegal market.
08:00Experts estimated that the dollar exchange rate in the black market had triggered the
08:03reversion of the upward trends somehow.
08:06However, they pointed out that this market couldn't help inflation lately.
08:11In this context, economic minister Luis Caputo labeled social inflation as unexpected volatility.
08:16Nonetheless, analysts wonder how much more the central bank could uphold without the
08:20entry of fresh funds.
08:29We have a first-year break coming up, remember you can join us on Tiktok at Teleso English

08:37We'll be right back, stay with us.
08:46Welcome back.
09:01On Thursday, the representative of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural
09:04Organization, Eric Walibi, denounced that media professionals in Haiti are being systematically
09:09targeted by criminal groups.
09:11The official also praised the courage of the journalists, who continue to work despite
09:14the horrible conditions in the country.
09:17For this reason, UNESCO has established several mental health support programs for journalists,
09:21as violence in the country is rapidly increasing.
09:23In December, two journalists were killed in a shooting in the country's capital Port-au-Prince,
09:27while they were at the opening ceremony of a hospital.
09:39In other news, the Sudanese Armed Forces confirmed Friday the capture of the last stronghold
09:43by the Parliamentary Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum, capital where the civil war started
09:48two years ago.
09:49The army regained control of the Republican Palace and Ministry buildings on the 21st
09:54day of Ramadan.
09:55These advances pose symbolic triumph for the troops commanded by General Abdel Fattah al-Buhan.
09:59The information minister, Khaled al-Issa, further posted on X that the flag had been
10:04raised on the palace.
10:06Likewise, the army spokesperson, Nabil Abdallah, informed that they seized large quantities
10:10of equipment and weapons.
10:12He made sure they were paving their way to one everlasting victory.
10:15The Republican fortress had been in the hands of the paramilitary RSF for almost two years.
10:37The British government has issued a travel alert for its citizens wishing to travel to
10:42the United States, warning them of a possible arrest or detention.
10:45The risk of deportation is the main concern following the U.S. government's reform of
10:50immigration policy.
10:51The British Home Office has advised travelers to make sure they have all the right documents
10:55in order when they travel to avoid being subjected to procedures that sometimes border on abuse.
11:01This announcement has caused concern for British travelers, as airport searches in the United
11:06States have become more rigorous and, at times, invasive and violent.
11:27International Olympic Committee First Female President Christy Coventry faces significant
11:32challenges in protecting women's sports.
11:35In statements to the press, Coventry assured she is ready to deal with difficult men in
11:39high positions, such as U.S. President Donald Trump, the weaponization of sport or the challenges
11:44of steering the IOC through one uncertain decade.
11:48She also mentioned her intentions to preserve solidarity among athletes and ensuring every
11:53one of them has the possibility to attend the Olympic Games in a safe way.
11:56In this context, outgoing IOC President Thomas Bach assured that choosing Coventry was a
12:01very important signal to prove the IOC is a truly global and inclusive organization.
12:31The IOC is the ninth president of the IOC, and eight of them have been from Europe and
12:44one from the United States of America, and this is not really reflecting the reality
12:52of a global organization like the IOC with 206 National Olympic Committees on all five
13:00continents, and therefore this election is more than anything else this commitment to
13:10globalization and to be a global organization.
13:19It's a really powerful signal. It's a signal that we're truly global and that we have evolved
13:26into an organization that is truly open to diversity, and we're going to continue walking
13:34that road in the next eight years.

14:20Welcome back. On Friday, Tel Aviv's Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened the annexation
14:32of Gaza territory pending the release of hostages in a move that exposes the genocidal intentions
14:37of the Sunni regime. Without specifying which territories he was referring to, Katz assured
14:43that he has given orders to the occupying troops to expand security zones around Gaza
14:48with the excuse of protecting Israeli communities and trying to pressure the resistance to release
14:52hostages. Specifically, Katz threatened to use all military and civilian pressure, including
14:57evacuation of the Gaza population south and implementing U.S. President Trump's voluntary
15:01migration plan for Gaza residents. The move happens amid social pressure from relatives
15:06regarding the government's hand of the captives' release.
15:18Israeli occupation forces mounted incursions into three key zones of the Gaza Strip as
15:23part of their ethnic cleansing plan to wipe Palestinians off the map. The occupation army
15:28invaded not only the Shabura refugee camp in Rafah but also northeastern Beit El Ahya
15:33and other nearby towns, including Gaza. Syrian forces harnessed artillery shells and heavy
15:38gunfire to seize those Palestinian areas. The advance of the Israeli offensive on the
15:43enclave brought about both an unprecedented humanitarian crisis and thousands of displaced
15:49in their attempt to hold with the punches.
15:55There was a lot of shelling around us and there were people killed. The children were
15:58extremely terrified so we left in a hurry without a clear destination.
16:05Fear gripped us before we left our homes and even here in this camp. There's still
16:15fear. We were displaced from Beit Hanoun and have moved between displacement sites more
16:21than ten times.
16:29In this context, as Israel's military launches a renewed group-down invasion of flattering
16:34Gaza's Rafah, UN agencies warn of the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Strip. In this
16:39regard, UNICEF reported that at least 200 children have been killed during the past
16:43week alone, while UN's Relief Agency for Palestinian Refugees warned that progress
16:48made during ceasefire is being reversed. Palestinians are now facing huge reductions in distribution
16:54of aid due to the Saudi's blockade. Furthermore, news reports alert that less than half of
17:00Palestinian Red Crescent emergency vehicles are out of operation due to fuel shortages.
17:06Israel's bombardment of the Gaza Strip has also disseminated infrastructure and waste
17:11management systems.
17:16In other news, The President of Tunisia, Kayy Saeed, removed Prime Minister Kamal Madhuri
17:23from office after holding the post for seven months. In this regard, an official statement
17:32informed the Minister of Equipment, Sara Safrani Senri, will be the new Prime Minister and
17:38the second woman to occupy this position in the government. The authority did not give
17:42more details of the dismissal of Madhuri, but specified in the statement the need for
17:47Safrani to meet the expectations of the Tunisian people.
17:50Technocrat Kamal Madhuri was appointed Tunisian Prime Minister in August 2024, during a major
17:55government reshuffle in the country.
18:14In Ecuador, at least 300,000 people have been affected by an oil spill in the province of
18:18Esmeraldas. The crude oil has polluted the river Esmeraldas, which supplies the cantons
18:23of Rio Verde, Atacames and Esmeraldas with water to make it drinkable. The families protested
18:30to denounce the lack of this vital liquid. The spill was caused by the rupture of a section
18:34of the Trans-Ecuadorian Pipeline system. From this city, crude oil is exported, which crosses
18:40the north of Ecuador through pipelines that start in the Amazon.
18:49And the UN warned on Thursday that the disappearance of glaciers is accelerating due to global
18:56warming. Authorities affirmed that glaciers will not be able to reach the end of the 21st
19:01century in areas of the European and American continents, since their disappearance is becoming
19:06faster and faster. Experts say that since 1975, the glaciers have lost a large mass
19:12of ice, calculating some 9 million tons, equivalent to a block the size of Germany. The UN warned
19:18that the situation threatens an avalanche of consequences for economies, ecosystems
19:22and populations. In 2024 alone, more than 450,000 tons of glaciers were melted.
