00:58Hello, welcome to From the South, I'm Ana Marrero from the Telesur headquarters in Caracas,
01:03Venezuela.
01:04We'll be back with the news, stay with us.
01:21In Palestine, Israeli genocidal forces have been dropping bombs on residential buildings
01:26in the southern Gaza Strip from Thursday evening to Friday morning, claiming at least
01:3038 lives, including 14 children.
01:33This has been part of the Israeli ground offensive in the Al-Manarah neighborhood of Qaniyouni's
01:39Amman in the death toll to 38 Muslim women and children, in addition to the multiple
01:44injured.
01:45Furthermore, the Aden Azer Health Care Center's physicians told that 14 children died by suffocations
01:53as a result of the deadly shelling on buildings which caused collapse while people were still
01:58inside.
01:59The Israeli occupation arrested nearly 65 people in the midst of its illegal riots against
02:09Palestinian residents of the occupied Jerusalem.
02:12The riots were carried out in the town of Anara, east of the occupied Jerusalem.
02:17During the operations, the occupation forces rioted and destroyed homes, in addition to
02:23threatening the lives of the residents.
02:25The residents also denounced the occupation of one of the houses to be used as a military
02:30base where civilians are held, and substituted interrogations on their torture.
02:39We were all women and children.
02:41I lost my husband and my sister lost her husband.
02:44There was no fighter here.
02:45We were all civilians.
02:47Suddenly, we all found ourselves under the rubble and we dug with our hands to get our
02:51children out from under the rubble.
02:53We were bombed at 10 p.m. and at 6 o'clock or 5 o'clock in the morning, the ambulance
02:58and civil defense came.
03:00Those who were under the rubble had already died.
03:06In this context, the Palestinian-resistant Hamas called on the international community
03:10for a massive protest in rejection of the Israeli occupation and the crimes committed
03:14in the territory.
03:15The movement also denounced that the Israeli offensive since October 2023 has claimed the
03:20lives of at least 42,847 Palestinians and has left more than 100,000 injured.
03:28In this regard, the international community condemned the Israeli genocide and called
03:32for a massive manifestation rejecting the Israeli invasion.

04:16Welcome back from the South.
04:17In Russia, at the final plenary session of the 16th BRICS Summit, leaders stressed the
04:23need to strengthen mutualism and reinforce global institutions to promote world development.
04:30Let's see.
04:33President of China, Xi Jinping, emphasized the importance of the BRICS Group and its
04:37meetings to promote the world's development.
04:44We must give vigor to development in the world.
04:48The Global South emerges through development and becomes prosperous through development.
04:54We must be the main force for development and have a new active and leading role in
04:58this new governance to achieve development in this international trade agenda.
05:02Likewise, the External Affairs Minister of India expressed that the BRICS Summit is a
05:08testimony that there are profound changes needed in the world order.
05:14The BRICS is the testimony that there are profound changes that are emerging in the
05:18obsolete world order, and there are the problems that come from many years ago but acquired
05:22new forms.
05:24We are approaching the management of contemporary technologies and resources.
05:27We must recognize that the benefits of globalization are distributed unfairly.
05:31On his end, the Iranian President highlighted the important role of the BRICS Economy Block
05:37and the Global South in the construction of a multipolar world.
05:42The BRICS and the Global South, by jointly building a better world, can take meaningful
05:46actions to establish better systems and fairer relations based on collective satisfactions.
05:52This building collisions and establishing friendly relations is important for all countries
05:56to be free from unilateralism.
05:59During his intervention, the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramphosa, condemned the
06:04genocide perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian population and spoke out in support
06:10of the victims.
06:14South Africa is very concerned about the military actions of the State of Israel against the
06:18people of Gaza which we have given the name of genocide.
06:22And this genocide is of great concern.
06:25It has led South Africa to approach the International Court of Justice to solve this problem of
06:30killing of innocent women and children in Gaza.
06:33We believe that the world cannot stand by and watch this murder with folded hands and
06:37we have been steadfast in our support in all efforts to establish a viable Palestinian
06:42state existing side by side with Israel in peace with internationally recognized borders
06:47based on 1967 with Jerusalem as the capital.
06:52Furthermore, in the encounter, the President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, urged to take
06:58the necessary measures for Israel to withdraw its troops from the Gaza Strip.
07:06The Israeli government has taken the decision to close the Central Labor Office in eastern
07:10Jerusalem which prevents it from ensuring the primary needs of the Palestinian refugees
07:15in the occupied Palestinian territories.
07:18All measures must be taken to make the Israeli government desist from these practices and
07:22it is therefore of utmost importance to implement the United Nations Security Council resolutions
07:27to ensure full access and withdraw Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip so that the local
07:32inhabitants can return to their homes and engage in post-conflict recovery.
07:37The leaders of the world powers assured that they seek the construction of a multipolar
07:41world that promotes a new sustainable world order where injustice, violence and false
07:47flags of freedom will have no place but equity and global cooperation will.
07:54For its part, the Government of Venezuela released a statement thanking the invitation
07:58of the BRICS Plus Summit in Quezon and condemned the Brazilian decision to veto Venezuela's
08:03entry to the mechanism.
08:04In its statement, Caracas declared that Venezuela has the support of countries participating
08:09in the summit to formalize its entry into this integration mechanism.
08:15But through an action that contradicts the nature of the BRICS, the Brazilian Foreign
08:19Ministry delegation, led by Ambassador Eduardo Paes-Aboia, decided to maintain the veto that
08:25Bolsonaro applied on Venezuela for years, reversing the hate, the exclusion and the
08:31intolerance promoted by senators of Western powers to prevent from now the entry of believers
08:37homeland to the organization.
08:39Finally, the statement closes by affirming that the Venezuelan people is ashamed of these
08:43unacceptable and immoral aggressions from the Brazilian Foreign Ministry that maintains
08:49the worst of Bolsonaro's policies against the Bolivarian revolution, found by Commander
08:53Hugo Chavez.
08:56Cuba expressed its gratitude for joining the BRICS group as a partner.
09:03Through his social media account, President Miguel Díaz-Canel said, Cuba is honored to
09:08enter as a partner country in the BRICS, five letters of a great hope for the countries
09:14of the South on their arduous path towards a more just, democratic, equitable and sustainable
09:21international order.
09:24The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, arrived in Argentina to hold a meeting with
09:33the Brazilian Prime Minister, Mohamed Nadir Dallara Boquete, to discuss issues of mutual
09:39interest.
09:40Caracas and Algiers have maintained strong diplomatic, economic and social relations
09:46for more than 50 years, the African country being a porter for the revolution.
09:52Last time the Venezuelan President traveled to the African country was in September 2023,
09:57when the commitment of both nations to the construction of a multi-centric and a pluripolar
10:03world was reaffirmed.
10:11And the Vice President of Venezuela, Delsi Rodríguez, paid an official visit to India
10:14on Friday in order to consolidate bilateral economic cooperation relations.
10:18In this context, the Vice President of India, Javdeep Dharkhad, met with his Venezuelan
10:25counterpart, Rodríguez, to address ways to expand their ties in different sectors.
10:31After having attended the 16th BRIC Summit, the Venezuelan Vice President is fulfilling
10:37her abroad work agenda in India to strengthen Caracas' new Delhi Islands in trade, energy
10:44and pharmaceutical areas.
10:50I would like to thank, personally, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, the Vice President,
10:57and extraordinary friend of Venezuela, very dear to me, I would like to thank the support
11:04of India so that Venezuela can formally join the BRICS and that we address that should
11:10be our strategic relation of the future, a great producer, the largest oil reserve on
11:17the planet.
11:18Venezuela has them, an energetic leader that is, despite the criminal blockade, the economy
11:25aggression against Venezuela, recovering its productive path to position itself in that
11:32strategic role that must play in the international energy market.
11:37And India, an economic power, the third economy in the world, and it will consolidate on that

12:32allies, fully labored and green parties.
12:35The ruling was sent to the lawmakers to complete the legislative process.
12:39In this way, the text grants that unconstitutional actions will not lead to any changes in the
12:44constitution.
12:45However, members of the judiciary reject the motion.

14:02and indicators of local authorities.
14:04Likewise, it urged citizens to maintain the measures to protect their lives and those
14:08of their relatives and neighbors.
14:11Additionally, the agency acknowledged the work of Guantanamo management bodies and the
14:16behavior of the population during the event.
14:21As a response to the situation, the Cuban Workers' Federation made a call for solidarity
14:26and asked the population to make donations to help families in the province of Guantanamo.
14:31The call had an immediate response from the country's workers and citizens.
